John -

Your vacuum doesn't have a belt - only vacuums with rotating brushes use drive belts.

What problem are you having - why do you think you need to change the belt?

Please rate my solution if you find it helpful.

    My apologies John.

The title says it's an EP035. I see now that you have the v15z - which does have rotating brushes.

John - I found this in another post from about 6 months ago:

"Well it's actually not so bad once you realize where they hid the screws. Gently pull outwards on either side of the housing that surrounds the brush and vacuum. There are no screws for this piece it simply snaps off and on. Once this piece is removed you'll see two phillips type screws on the side where the removable hose attaches. Remove the two screws and pull off the molded section they keep in place. The brush will now come off revealing the rotor that the belts slips over. The belt is placed over the rotor and the brush cylinder in a figure eight. Reassemble and your ready to go. Now if Shark will only help customers locate a replacement belt you may find this info useful....."

Take out one more screw that holds the shaft cover on, and it is much easier to put rhe belt on.

Yes, was trying to get second screw off...top of unit. was loose, but not coming out!! The other screw to take out is the one holding the wheels on unit,. The screw on "axle" where the accessory hose is.

Can you give me directions on changing a shark Euro-Pro UV219CS vacuum belt?
Thank you.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The Shark vacuum cleaner belt is a side driven belt and you need to remove the bottom plate and remove the belt and place the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and make sure the ends are the same, insert the brushroll and then use a belt puller or screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and the track it in a straight line, replace the bottom plate. If you need further assistance please fee free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer with questions. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
