Picture tube will not come on.... rca mod f35731 mb chassis ctc169j56 ser 707261399h green light comes on but no picture.... help fuse?> bad picture tube...?

Bad grounds on the power supply are common on these TVs. The power supply will have the flyback transformer. Resolder the flyback, horizontal driver transformer, power resistors etc. Check and study the vertical IC and see if the pins will need resoldering as well. Inspect the small board that is connected to the CRT, and solder this, as necessary. This is a good start for repair, thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

No ruster but have sound

You have bad grounds on the power supply board. The power supply will have the flyback transformer. You must pull this board out and really, really look for bad solder grounds. Check for cracked or separated pins on transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, jumpers and transformers (on the solder side of the board). Resolder as necessary. Be sure to check grounds on the vertical IC, you do not want to short the pins together with excess solder. I'm sure you can fix this TV. It takes patience and a very good eye,...eyes! This is good advice. I do not believe you will need to replace parts. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

Picture blacked out with a horizontal line lrft in middle of screen

You could have a bad solder ground almost anywhere. I would suggest the first place to look at be the vertical IC. Resolder this if you see small rings around the IC. You must look very, very close. You may need to replace any capacitor in the immediate area of this IC. Could be three or four capacitors. Then inspect the rest of the power supply board for bad solder grounds. Thanks for asking!

Tv asking for pin code

I can't even find any information on this brand or model.
That makes it tough. If you have the user's manual then the information for a reset to factory defaults should be in there. I am not sure that's even possible without information to consult. Generally speaking if it's a confused computer (microprocessor) then it can be reset by unplugging the unit from the power source (removing batteries or unplug from wall) and wait about ten minutes. If it can be reset that way it will start the program from step on and should give you a fresh start. If you don't have the manual that came with it your only recourse is to try and find the manufacturer. I can't even find them on the net though.

The VHS ate a tape, no power, wont eject, can't get it to work.

Are you asking how to get the tape back? Partial disassembly of the case (UNPLUGGED) would allow removal of the tape.
If you are asking how to repair a VCR, no one can tell you how to do that on a forum. VCRs have quite a number of moving parts, mostly driven by rubber belts. These stretch with time and the mechanisms quit working. Since a simple belt replacement costs as much as a cheap DVD player most people change to DVD at this point.
If you have high-personal-value videotapes (home movies) , these can be converted to DVDs by any local photo service and would last a long time in the new format. They will NOT copy commecial videotapes for you.

Emerson sb350 ( spongebob dvd combo )

I had the same problem.I fixed it by unpluging the tv.Then while holding in the power button I plugged it back in,still holding in the power button for twenty seconds. That fixed it.I read somewhere you could reset a Sony that way so I gave it a try and it worked.I also put a cd cleaning disk in it because it was saying "wrong disk" and that fixed that problem.Good Luck
