Check to make sure cables are pluggedin correctly make sure cord is not broken and has continuity if the cord is not working replace the cord if it is working try it on another tv if it still doesn't work then its your wii call tech support so they can repair it for minimum price (i think your warranty covers it)

No sound on tv

Okay please just give me some more info so I can help. I assume that the TV sound works okay when watching normal TV, right? That would mean that no matter what game, anything coming from the Wii is completely silent, right?

How is the Wii set up on the TV? Do you know if it is an HDTV or just regular TV? Do you know if it hooks up with composite cables or with an HDMI cable?

Here is a link:

The HDMI cable is the black one and the other colored 3 are composite,.

You can choose either way they are both good enough for HD on your Wii.

Best regards,
EJ Kudelka

Wii is 2 years old just got new tv set wii up and wii has no colour/sound. Colour is grainy black and white and sound only comes out of the wii remote.

please check your cables and make sure that they are on the right ports. simple solution. nothing wrong with your wii. New Tv can be a little confusing. remember just keep your wii on and test the ports till you get the right ones. If other devices are working such as dvd player then you need to replace the cables

When I turn the Wii on it makes no sound

Check to see if the audio cables from the Wii to the TV might have come loose or unplugged.

If you have a friend with a Wii, see if their cable connecting the Wii to the TV works. Your cable might have gone bad.

Installation of wii

I had the same problem on a 32" rca crt. It worked fine, power was cut during electrical work and when it came back, "unusable signal." I went into the menu, then channel, then video input source. had to change it to the correct input "s-video in my case" Then it worked. GOOD LUCK!

No sound on wii. were does the sound come from on wii

Wii's sound comes from the tv that you plug it into. You need to plug the audio composite cables into the same place you did to get the video to play. there should be a set of three composite jacks for your cables to plug into. Yellow (video) White and Red (audio) make sure they are all in the input side not the output side. turn you tv up to the desired volume and turn it to the proper input channel and you should be all set.

you should make sure that the cords are plugged in correctly in both the wii and the tv. if not, you should try different cords and a different tv.

Power but no picture or sound

Did you plug in the cables in the TV for the Wii? Check if you did that or if you do, try changing the different TV setting.
