Question about Sony KP-65WS500 65" Rear Projection Television

I have a sony KP65WS500, i turn the tv off with the remote and now it wont come back on. I have no idea what it is?

Your startup card (the computer thing that turns the tv on) is probably out and needs replaced.

if thats not it, it could be lots of things like a fan that has stopped.

The screen is showing a ghost or double picture


Does the picture look 3d? colors out of place and or skewed?


If it does, go into the customer menu with the Sony remote and select convergence----if red or blue are warped and will not move in some direction--you have a common problem---CONVERGENCE.

Confirm model number and tell me if it is 3D like picture.

Sony KP65WS500 5 blinks


I think problem is in Protection circuit itself. Protection seems unstable in your tv that's why it doesn't give you chance to diagnose problem.
Try to isolate protection command and check tv.
Its an idea and hopefully it will work.
