Comment by eliramos, posted on Jun 02, 2008you guys keep saying turbo cool .. what is that and how does one activate it .. I turned off the refrigerator .. the temperature jumped to 71...plug it back in .. pushed the down arrow in the refrigerator to 33 (that's the lowest temp it allowed me to go) and went to bed at 9:30 PM .. at 4:30 am the temp read 59 and seems to be rising again (6:30 am) .. the freezer is still at 0 .. help
In your particular model I believe it is termed as "MaxCool". It is also possible that the sensor for the refrigerator is covered by a food item and therefore was getting erroneous readings hence cutting off early (making the temp go higher than normal). Based on this, you can try switching the food items around relocating them as to how they were placed inside. Incidentally, frequent opening and closing of the refrigerator of course would be exposing the inside to warmer air making the unit work harder.
The reset requires that the unit be unplug for an hour or more hence my suggestion during the Live Session to make use of a second refrigerator while checking out the Jenn Air.
