Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

I use a Harbor Breeze fan/light remote to operate a ceiling light. On the back of the remote it has this set of num/letters: FCCID KUJCE9103; It has three speeds for fan and On/Off/Dim for the light. The remote no longer operates the light. The 9 volt battery is good. The remote is stamped 2005. 10. when it passed inspection. Can I buy any remote that's similiar and assume the frequency is correct or do I need a specific one? If so, can u send me the one I need?

The receiver is dead. It doesn't have any batteries, and why would it? It operates on 110v household current. The receiver needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: My Harbor Breeze 52" Signal

I assume you ceiling fan is also wired to a wall switch. In which case it should override the remote when necessary. As far as the batteries (yes, there are 2) are concerned, you can get them from Lowe's. The second battery is in the receiver, which is in the fan housing. That really may be where the problem lies. The receiver battery is weak or dead. Only changing the hand held remote battery, won't solve the problem.

Hope this helped to solve your problem.

You can find the replacement globe at Lowe's. If it's not in stock, they will order it for you.

I broke a shade on my harbor breeze lighthouse II ceiling fan, will you find the model number so I can order one?

Wrong way round, YOU tell us the model number and type and we tell you where to get the shade. You can see the fan in your house, but we can't. That makes it really difficult for us. Some shades are plain, some are fluted, some have patterns.

All is not lost though. Go here and take your pick. They all sell them including Harbour Breeze themselves..

Harbor breeze ceiling fan w/lights&remote

Did the fan have a remote when it was purchased? If so, you already have a receiver in the fan somewhere. You'll have to find it to see if you can set the new transmitter to the same frequency.

I need to find a light kit for a harbor breeze

You should be able to pick these up at Lowes if I'm not mistaken. I just bought a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan from there and saw the light kits around the same area. I also believe that, you dont necessarily have to get a Harbor Breeze light kit and that some are interchangeable.Hope this helps some.

Installation of wall remote for harbor breeze ceiling fans

One black wire on the switch hooked to the black sources wire. The other black wire on the switch hooked black up to the fan. The green on the switch wire goes to the bare wire. If there is bare wire you can use the white wire.
