If the side cover will not go on, it will be because the brake has actuated, you need to load the brake, this can be done by inserting a pin spanner into the quadrant where the grey handle fits when the cover is on the saw, twisting this will re load the brake, the cover should then go back on.

Oil leak he hummer not valve cover .coming from back of eng

If your sure it's not the cover or rear main. That only leaves the head and or head gasket(not likely). I'm rebuilding an H3 3.5 now. I would guess it is a valve cover if the leak is on the drivers side. Because you can not see the cover on that side because of the air plenum. The plenum is one piece all the way down that side. The cover could be leaking kind of close to the front, but flows back over the plenum side mount to the back. The only other thing that may back there would be the crank sensor. That would be on the drivers side also.

Install side cover on 455 rancher with chain break

Problem is you removed side cover with chain brake closed. You must open the chain brake to re-install the cover. You can do it with the handle. Put the side cover into position, put the handle into the fitting on the side cover. push the handle forward until you feel the "3" point connector engage. apply pressure to the handle and pull back until the side chain brake "Pops" open. Your Husqvarna dealer has a tool to open the chain brake if you are unable to get it open. Takes about 5 mins.

I need to remove the seat and the side panels on a 95 Nighthawk 250 and I cant get either off. I'm new to this bike.

I have never taken the side panels off of a machine like yours but I did find a diagram that may help. First remove your seat. There are two bolts that hold the back of the side covers down and two bolts that hold the front of the top cross over cover. Once you have the three push tabs at the front of each cover off and the four bolts on the back of the side covers and top cover, I believe you should be able to pop the back top cover straight up with it still attached to the back of the two side covers by the two under bolts at the very back. The top cover and the side covers will still be attached by two bolts at the very back that come up from under neath. Here is a diagram showing the 6 push pins in the front and the 6 bolts in the back.

I purchased a 1983 Honda Nighthawk 750 need to know how to access the battery Forgive my ignorance, but I am new to motorcycles in general. Thanks

On your 1983 CB750SC you will have to remove your side covers. Be careful to put a fingers on both sides of the side cover tabs (a finger on either side of the side cover pin) when pulling off the side covers . They can break off easily on this model. Locate the two bolts holding the back of the seat down and take them off with a 12mm socket. Lift the back of the seat, pull it towards the back of the bike, and lift it off. The battery is underneath the driver seat and lifts straight up.

Rear bumper cover is loose on one side

The sides of the bumper slide on over a large pin to hold them in place. The easiest and correct way of getting it back on is to unbolt the bumper cover from the impact absorbers in the rear and slide the cover off by pulling it straight back. When you slide it back on, make sure the cover goes on the pins on each side before pushing it all the way back in place and bolting it back up to the impact absorbers. If you have been rear-ended then the tracks that these pins slide into may be broken. If thats the case you will have to replace the bumper cover

I need to take the back off a navman s70

Im surprised noone has answered this considering navmans track record for producing waste products. I say this,as i have 5 sat useless, due to being 2nd owner,so uncovered by warranty,in some cases, units being less than 1yr old,so i have had a look myself. Ok. Here goes. hold the unit screen towards sky, base facing you. You will see 2 screws, one either side. These hold the side covers in position. Remove these, and if you have strong nails, insert finger nail between side cover and back, start at bottom and pop the bottom lug then the top. It should be held the same on other side of side cover. repeat this on other side of unit. The side covers should now be off and exposing back cover side edges now. Take your finger nail and insert between back cover and base at one corner,it should pop open slightly, repeat on opposite corner. This is from memory. your cover should now lift off. Try the screen ribbon where it joins the board for connection first, there is a tiny black lift up ribbon lock to lift up then make sure ribbon is pushed firmly home, maybe even clean the connectors. The rest is in your hands if this does not work. Good luck.

Unsticking the C2424 Printhead

You need to remove the scanner and document feeder.
to do that you disconnect the molex connector from the right side of the printer next to the power cord.
Then remove the 2 screws on the upper part of the back of the machine, one each on the 2 side covers. That is all that holds the covers on. Now, step to the side at about the middle of the machine, lift up and out on the one of the side covers, Now be ready because the front cover will "pop" off also, that front cover holds both side covers on in front.
Now you need to go to the back again, there is a small white cover on the upper back about 10 inches long and 2-3 inches on top and down the back, remove it and the metal cover underneth it.
Last you have to remove the ink holder, where the solid ink stick are placed. There are no bolts holding it in, just a couple of plastic tabs on the sides, You need to release them with a small screw driver and lift it out, There are 2 connectors on that plug in on the side of the machine. Once you get the ink loader ( holder) off you have accessed the print head area. It really is pretty easy to get to. Just sounds like a lot, In actuality, it takes about 10 minutes. Make sure you have either some magnetic Torx drivers or a 5.5 MM nut driver to remove the screwws.
