i think thats what they are designd to do so you dont miss any important messages

For this problem contact your mobile service provider.........

Start by dialing 500 on the intercom. If that gets you into the voice mail system, then you can dial *710x 500 # where x is 4 for No Answer and 5 is Busy/No Answer call forwarding. The number of rings before the forward is controlled by *713yy where yy is a time in seconds. Each ring cycle is about 6 seconds, so 24 would be a good number.

Leaving a message on your own phone? Dialing 500 gets you into your personal mailbox as an owner. Dialing #8 and your extension gets you into the VM system as a caller. (or it might be #6, I don't have my VM online today)

Of course, if you have an ESVM instead of the TVx system, then the procedure is entirely different.

Many answering machines have an "announce" mode where the machine plays a message but does not accept messages, which is exactly what you want. Since you declined to specify the model of your GE answering system, I can't tell you how to set it to that mode. Select the model from the list at

Why don't you try a simple test glazing or pot firing, something you don't care if you lose and see how it goes?

I assume it has a place to set the temperature? If so what is the problem? Just make sure the kiln is away from any flammable objects and watch the kiln while it is running (don't leave it unattended).

You should probably never run it unattended.

We hold 1 to play and just press 0 to remove old messages.

First off we need to know what color it is.

Green-Dial "0" from the problem phone and that should clear it.

Red-Dial "Feature 99 Feature". If that does not work.
Leave a message in that users mailbox. From that users phone check and delete that message.

If neither of these operations work then you may have a bad port which means you may need a new station card. The part is an ESI(8)-U10-ETU, ESIB(8)-U10-ETU or an ESIE(8)-U10-ETU. The U10 might be different.

Don't know about other models, but I just called RCA small business phone support (800-511-3180) to find out how to clear the message light indicator on my 25210 2-line cordless phone when it continues to blink but there is no message.

All you have to do is hold down the delete button for a few seconds and it will clear. Hope this helps someone else from going batty!
