To change the time on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is). with the handset down, enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED 1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming) 2) enter in #55 the screen should say YYMMDDWHHMM 3) enter in the year, month, day, day of the week, hours and minutes(the day of the week values are 1= mon. 2= tues. etc.) press # when finished.
How do I change the Time and Date on a Merlin Legend system? To change either the Date or the Time on the Legend system, you must
program it from the main System Programming console (MLX-20L). This will
change the Time or Date on all the display phones throughout the system,
except the ATL (Analog) display sets. These phones must be programmed on
each individual set.
How to change the Date in the Legend system:
Press System Program.
Enter date in following format: mmddyy (where MM is the month, DD is the
day, and YY is the year).
Press Home to exit programming mode.
How to change the Time in the Legend system:
Press System Program.
Enter the time in military/24 hour format: HH:MM (where HH is the hour,
01-24, and MM is minutes, 00-60).
ENABLE CUSTOMER PROGRAMMING With the handset on-hook, dial #06. The display shows [MMC DISABLED]. Dial the passcode and 1 and then press #. At this point, customer programming is open. Follow instructions as needed.
TO SET TIME AND DATE::
Dial #55. Display shows [YY MM DD W HH MM]. The phone returns to normal use.

To access customer programs, open system programming using the passcode you have been assigned. (Default passcode is 1234). You must use a (display phone) LCD 12B or LCD 24B keyset.ENABLE CUSTOMER PROGRAMMINGWhile on-hook, press TRSF and dial 200. he display shows.ENABLE CUS. PROG. PASSCODE:Dial the four digit passcode. First to change the clock to a 12 hour instead of a 24 hour requires a bit of CAUTION. You have to go into the technician level of programming so be careful. From a display phone, Press #, ( Programming ) is displayed, enter 20, ( MMC Disabled ) is displayed, enter password ( 1 2 3 4 is default ), enter function 4 for 12 hour clock, enter # to exit. If the time and date are displayed wrong you have to go to # 55 and reset time and date.
YY MM DD W HH MM format. W = Day of week with 1=Monday and HH MM must be entered in Military time even though you have a 12 hour clock set. Good Luck
