Unless you are a network GURU, the best you can hope to do is enable security on your router to keep others outside your home from using it. But if you are trying to track websites from a computer in your home, you can check the history to see what websites they are visiting, by using ctrl+shift+h, in internet explorer.

Yes, well, the problem is that I AGREED to let my neighbor use my router until she can get her own internet service. Then, I started regretting that I had done it!

I DO have SOME suspicion, at this point, that she may be trying to look up my personal info, emails, files, etc....something I wasn't concerned about in the beginning. So, I am just trying to find out how to handle this now. I don't want to accuse her of anything and I DID allow her to use my connection; therefore, not sure how to proceed.

If there was a way I could track what she is doing and find that it is "legit", it would be much easier to just let it go until se can get her own access. It would definitely be MORE difficult if I have to now tell her, in SOME respectful way, that I now have decided NOT go give her access! (as if I'm already accusing her of double crossing me when she just May NOT be..at all!

See my dilemma? And YES, I HAVE learned a valuable lesson here! Any further advice?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Someone just told me to try this website. I am trying to find an answer. We have a 16MB connection in our flat but when we went inside the room we cannot connect. We can connect only if we went to hallway....

You need an app that will display all the wifi in the area, by power and channel. I'd suspect that you are getting interference on the same channel. Try a different channel, move the antennas around, make a directional antenna, reduce the shielding between you and the router.

They are saying that my facebook account is unavailable i had just log out for a minute

Facebook uses HTTP to communicate over the Internet, assuming you can access other websites on the same computer then it cannot be your router blocking Facebook unless someone has specifically blocked it.
This might happen if you are at a place of work, school etc. To test this use a proxy server to bypass any blocking. To do this is simple, simply visit this website: http://hidemyass.com/ , scroll down to the text box which by default says "http://google.com" change this to "https://facebook.com" and try to log into your account. Rest assured you information is safe as I have directed you to the secure log in page denoted by the "https://".
If this works in future you may try to log into Facebook using this link https://facebook.com, because this is a secure connection it cannot be blocked as easily. If it fails go back to the proxy site.

I can't access my office email from the company's home page. Internet explorer cannot find the email account. i can however get to the email from another location using their wireless network. i also can...

your works router has more than likely got filtering on meaning you cannot visit certain web pages to stop you from doing person things inside of work so you will not be able to check your emails on that system without bypassing the router every time meaning connecting an Ethernet cable straight to the modem rather than the router hope this has helped

My email does not come thru when my computer is connected to the router

did it work before? what did you change on your router? can you change it back?. does it work when you computer is directly connected to your modem?

if you download your email into an email client (outlook, outlook express, other)? you may need to configure the port forwarding on your router to allow the port used for this type of information to come through.

first find out the ports used, (if you use pop3 the port number is 110) but find out what specific ports are being used as per your email client configuration.
now go into your router's configuration page and go to the port forwarding section (under advance configuration) on you router and enable these ports if they are not enabled already enabled. (if your router is in fact blocking this ports this where the blocking happens) unless there's a good reason for you to configure this, do it otherwise leave the advance settings alone.

your router manual can be found here

good luck

Xbox can't find network on PC.

the other persons tip is trash mines better ;)

you can go to your routers2_bing.gif website and enter it manually. Type 192.168.1.1 this might be it or try 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.1.100

when it shows your routers2_bing.gif info write it down and then put it in your xbox's network by entering it manually. btw the secondary DNS is just 0.0.0.0 if it doesn't give you two. the gateway2_bing.gif is just your routers ip address.

what else you can do is do port forwarding.
But the xbox is not a static ip address2_bing.gif so it'll change. what you can do is when it says to put your ip address in your xbox put all the numbers the same as the routers ip address BUT DON'T USE THE SAME LAST NUMBER! so like if your routers ip address is 192.168.1.1 you can use 192.168.1.23 i use 192.168.2.15 but you may not have the 2 in yours.

Conecting netgar wpn824v2 to cable internet

what exactly do you plug directly in the wall? what kind of connector does it use? an 'f' connector on a coax cable or RJ45 (like a phone plug? if you are using a cable connection you have to have a modem for that to work. if you are using a Ethernet cable tied directly to a jack on the wall you'll have to be sure routers are allowed to connect. or register the router with your provider. be sure your wireless router is getting an address form the internet provider. with out more details i can't give you any more specifics.

-good luck-
