Dell c3110cn printer issues

Hi Mate

I am having problems with one of the printers on our site. It has been working but now its coming up as 016-757 Invalid user, and it fails to print

any help would be great

Try using user "admin" leave password blank how is this printer hooked into your network/?

I think i have been sent a empty cartride from dell


That means there is either a problem with the cartridge itself or a problem with the printer. The error basically means there is no color cartridge in the printer. Here are some things to try. if you look at the ink cart, you will see what looks like a circuit board of some sort. It's brown and gold. these are the contacts where the printer detects the ink cartridge. take a lint free cloth and wipe those off. If that does not work, contact Dell about a replacement ink cart. If the replacement ink cart does not work, there is a sensor issue on the printer and it needs replaced. If the printer is under warranty, Dell will do that. If it's out of warranty, throw it out.

Canon ir2016 TROUBLESHOOT printer problem


Hi mate,
Prior to the issue you facing currently seem like ,
1)have u put the printer driver as default.
2)have u point to the correct printer port at the driver.
3)at the driver advance setting ;get the device status then reboot the machine .

Dell Inspirion 530 won't communicate with Dell V305 printer


The problem could be because of ONE out of FIVE problems listed below. Try the steps recommended and it should fix the problem.

Dell Photo 926 printer scanning problems


Go to Control Panel, then Programs and Features. Uninstall the Dell printer software.

Then, go to Control Panel, then Device Manager. Locate the printer, right click on it, and select uninstall.

Disconnect the printer from your PC.

Go to the Support section of Dell's web site, download the latest driver for your printer.

Restart your PC.

Install the software. Connect your printer when instructed to, or after the software install has completed.

Dell AIO 926 driver is not installed, even though I installed it!


Hi, The problem here is that the CD has an older version of the driver which has some known issues. Few steps will be required to fix this.
  1. Unplug the printer
  2. Goto control panel -> Add/Remove programs (or) Programs & features (Vista), uninsuatll the Dell Printer software if listed.
  3. Download the Driver from the Dell Support Website

Very strange problem with Dell 5100cn


Hi Dejoda89,

Unfortunately, the problem is not with the printer, but rather the computer that you are trying to access it with.

It could be a corrupt Print Driver, corrupt registry file, your firewall, or even the security settings on the print server.

The network card of the printer doesnt care where the source of the request is coming from. If you can address the printer via tcp/ip, then the port is active and working.

Check with the system administrator of the print server to see if they can help resolve the issue.

Scanner & fax wont work


Hi,
This issue could be occurring due to number of reasons, it could be due to the corrupt All in one software or it could be due to the scanner hardware as well, since you have confirmed that the printer prints fine you are absolutely right that the communication between the printer and the computer is good, however to know where the problem lies and to fix the issue disconnect the printer form the computer and try to make a copy form the printer itself, if the printer is able to make a copy then the printer scanner device is working absolutely fine, however if the printer scanner is unable to make a copy check if there is any error message displayed on the printer LCD, if you find any error please keep me posted so that I can send you the resolution for the relevant error, alternately you can download and install the firmware form the Dell’s support site to fix the issue, here is the link form which you can download and install the firmware: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R98804&SystemID=PRN_ALL_A962&servicetag=&os=WW1&osl=en&deviceid=7348&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=40&fileid=128061
Please make sure that you do not turn off the computer or the printer while the firmware is being downloaded or installed.
After the firmware is downloaded and installed then restart the printer and the computer.
Check if the issue is resolved, if the issue still persists then you will have to replace the printer as there is nothing much that can be done to fix the issue as the scanner hardware is failed.
If the printer is able to make a copy form the printer then try these steps:
Download and install the updated driver for the Dell’s support site, however before you download and reinstall the drivers uninstall the previous version of the driver before you install the latest version, here is how you can uninstall the previous driver.
  1. Insert the Disk labeled Dell All in one center disk in the CD ROM.
  2. Click Next and select Uninstall form the list.
  3. Click on continue to uninstall the software.
  4. After the All in one software is uninstalled disconnect the printer form the computer and the restart the system.
  5. Download the latest driver form the Dell’s support site and then install it.

Install

The Self-Extractor window appears.
2.Click OK or Continue.
The Self-Extracting Driver Installation window appears and prompts to
extract files to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R92834.
3.Leave all of the default settings and click Unzip or OK. If the
directory doesn't exist, you'll be prompted to create one. Click Yes. A
Self Extractor window appears and indicates C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R92834 files were
extracted.
4.Click OK.
Follow the on-screen installation instructions in the window.
