Go to your Control Panel, then System, then Device Manager. Select Imaging devices, click on Google Camera Adapter and click uninstall. Win7 has Device Manger in the Control Panel.

I bought a power adapter for the camera, but it doesn't seem to work without batteries in the unit. If I use the batteries alone, I will eventually get a red blinking light at the back of the camera,...

Because the camera is what is technically known as 'Portable'and is designed to work purely from the internal battery. the Power Adapter merely charges the internal battery

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.

Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket
USB AC Adapter - is especially useful when traveling, away from your computer, or just plain on-the-go. Connect your camera's USB cable to the adapter and plug it into a wall outlet to conveniently charge your camera.
5V AC Adapter - Provides in-camera charging for all KODAK EASYSHARE M and V Series Digital Cameras
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 5.0 V
3V AC Adapter - Provides direct power to your camera but it will not charge the camera battery
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 3.0 V

* You need to check the type of adapter your using. If your using the 5V AC adapter or USB adapter and the camera won't charge the battery contact kodak support line 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK) for possible repair.

How do you put your sandisk microSDHC card with adapter in your camera

That depends on the camera. If the camera supports Sandisk Micro, then the SD card will fit into a slot. The slot is often located near to the battery.

You will just have to push card in and camera will automatically read card.

If camera does not read the card, ensure that the camera model can support SanDisk Micro, and that it will also support card size. Older cameras do not support big memory card (eg.4Gb)

AC adapter supplied by a third party

No, Minolta cannot guarantee the compatibility of any third party AC Adapters. We recommend the use of Minolta AC Adapters, AC-1L, and AC-2L. Any damage caused to the camera as a result of use of a third party AC Adapter may void your warranty.

AC adapters

You will definitely want an AC adapter for your camera. You won't want to be tethered to an electrical cord while taking pictures, but when it comes time to edit the pictures stored on your memory card(s) or to download your photos onto a computer, you'll find the job much easier if you're running the camera via an AC adapter. Without the continuous power of an adapter, you'll burn through your batteries.

A/C adapter

The camera should be fully functional with just the AC adapter. I hope you're using the Olympus adapter and not a substitute. Some substitutes will work ok but others can cause problems. The AC adapter output should be 6.5 volts at 2000 ma (2 amps).
