Question about Maytag MER5755Q CleanDesign Electric Kitchen Range
Hi flintdc, your problem has several possibilities. #1 unplug or trip the 220v breaker. #2 visually check the temp sensor mounting, position, wiring & connection. #3 check the heating element connection terminals, wiring & support post. Slowly flex the wires to check for brittle insulation and use a firm/small wire brush to clean wire connections & terminals. #4 the 'Baking Element' is app. $42.00 & 'Temp Sensor' is app. $36.00. Advice, when you buy a part locally have the model# and take the 'suspected' bad part to ask the clerk if they can check it compared to the new one with a DVM. Have a nice day.
