Hello, and thanks for using FixYa.
Please repost your question in full detail, include the brand and model of your device, and anything else that you feel might be relevant to the problem. With the current details you have provided I'm unable to offer you any assistance.

Also when did you last have sound? Do you have the small speaker icon on your computer desktop, bottom right corner, is the sound turned up there?

What is the brand and model of the COMPUTER aswell - what windows is installed?

Have you connected the cable for the speakers between the computer and the display? Are you sure its in the right plug? The green is used for speakers.

hi again, you didn't answer any of the other questions I posted. Also, have you changed anything within the last week? is everything connected properly?

  • Ekse Oct 14, 2010

I'm guessing the speaker wire is not connected from the computer to the monitor or its on the wrong plug on the back of the computer, another problem could be that the sound card drivers have not been installed. Still you did not answer my questions, Do you see a speaker icon in the bottom right corner of your computers desktop, or does it have a red x on top of it or is it missing? if it is, then the drivers are mostlikely not installed.

I can get you those drivers if you post me the brand and model of the computer.

My Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 has no sound. It was working fine, now there is no sound at all. How do I did this problem?

I had a similar problem with my Samsung S3 after a software update. I had to open up my volume settings and even though the slider bars indicated that the volume was at full I slid my finger across as if to turn it up to full. For some reason the slide indicators were wrong and this fixed my issue. I hope that helps.

What do i do when my volume is not loud on my hp 635 notebook

Laptop built in speakers come with a very limited volume. Though it shows 100% the sound is not enough. That is because they are not amplifiers they are simple speakers.

If you want to get more sound, you can connect a big speaker (amp) via an auxiliary cable. And give the power supply for the amp seperately.

There are a few sotfware which will increase your sound but it is not good for the speakers as they are not designed for very loud noises like that.

Cable Set-Top Box remot won't change sound vol. Only TV Rem. does

They volume indicator you are seeing is meant to show the volume of content if it were to be recorded on the cable's dvr. This indicator has no effect on the volume of content as it is being watched. This feature allows recording of sound at a set volume even while the tv is off. It sounds as though you'll just have to use the volume buttons on your tv's remote, though you might want to try seeing if there is alternative set-up for those cable volume buttons.

Strange problems with Z-2300's

I'm having this same problem and have sort of solved it with a really wierd technique I found at Logitech. Evidently this problem is related to the control pod rather then the RCA jack. Try this:

Unplug the control pod from the subwoofer Turn off the main switch Turn the volume knob one full turn, tap the knob Repeat again (2 times) Replug the control pod Turn on the main switch and the control pod See what happens

I found that this got the speaker working finicky after it was almost totally useless. It seems to be cutting out randomly, but fidgeting with the control pod or it's connector jack fixes it. No clue what the deal is here, but your problem is identical to mine so take some time to screw around with these components with music running so you can hear if it suddenly works.
