Lol. no. your computer is slow due to malware... spyware... bots... viruses... ect... temporary internet files... not enough ram... not enough processor power... and outdated hard drives... i.e... ide 40 pin. now... if it's slow on running stuff from the cd drive... then yes... that is one reason... along with dirt on cd... fingerprints... hair... ect. take a can of compressed air... or get a cd drive cleaner.

Np700-z5 running slow

Mostly laptop/computer runs slow issue occurs due to broken Windows registry entries. Fixing registry will help you to boost up your laptop. You need to download and install a Registry Cleaner program to fix corrupt or broken registry entries. To download a reliable registry cleaner, go to famous website download.cnet and search there Reginout. Which I personally use and recommend the friends. After downloading run all of its tools one by one except Internet Optimizer, to clean all the junks and registry errors from your computer.

What's the best pc utility cleaner

First of all, be VERY carefull when using any type of cleaner. Do not assume just because you are paying for a cleaner utility that it is safe. I have seen PC's crash more than once due to system files being removed.
Second, you do not need to spend good money to clean up your PC. I have used "Malwarebytes Anti-malware" many times on many PC's without any problems. Download the free version, and run a full scan. Another utility I use that is also free is "CCleaner." Run the cleaner program to get rid of all temporary files, cookies, internet files, etc. that are cluttering up your computer. There is also a registry cleaner in CCleaner that works well, but I would only recommend running any type of registry cleaner as a last resort if your PC is still running slow. You may also want to run the defrag utility on your hard drive located under System Tools on your PC.

if you are referring the processing of data through you computer
all data needs to processed through your CPU central processing unit adding more ram can speed the process up

test or replace all leads make sure they are securely seated and are not bad/faulty that are attached to your (((motherboard to your hard drive)))

a computer needs all of the data and power to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive

check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer

also

computer ram make sure they are securely seated
you might have to many programs running at the same time you are playing games putting to much strain on the CPU
try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to fix any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive this will schedule on a restart then defragment your hard drive or

click start control panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start tick in both boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart
do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage your computer

then click start all programs accessories system tools defragment your hard drive
you might have to install more RAM random access memory to check how much ram you have
to check the details on your computer
click start right click on my computer select properties you will see all imformation about your computer including installed ram

scroll to the bottom toolbar (bottom of screen) right click you can select task manager applications also processes you will see whats running on your computer if you see something running that you don't need running select end now then you might uninstall that particular program you might have virus slowing your computer also select users you will see who is using your computer
also you might download and use this registry cleaner it is 100% totally free to use
http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/

My computer is running too slow.

The best way to speed up a slow running computer is to clean it for viruses. Also optimize your system, browser and registry using some reliable cleaner such as Reginout Cleaner.

> Turn on Windows Updates.

> Keep your device drivers updates.

Thanks

My 5 Disk CD player doesn't work. It wont read any kind of CD. The radio and Tape Decks still work though. How can I fix the CD player.

Hello Alison hi, we need to check two parts to see which is the problem section why your player wont read.

  1. Does your CD spins normally, check your player if the cd spins normally, if you can see the disk spinning, take note of the spin, is it to slow? An abnormal disk spin has problems with its spindle motor assembly.
  2. Does your CD spins and then slow down to a stops, did not read the disk. This is caused by two things, FIRST: your CD player lens needs cleaning, you can buy a CD lens cleaner and use it to clean the lens, SECOND: The lens has degraded or worn out due to use and time, this needs a replacement lens assembly.
This things are way beyond a normal user, I suggest you send it for service. Sorry, there are no user serviceable parts here.

Relatd to slow working

These are two different problems...
1. most likely you have loaded too many programmes in the startup...uninstall the unwanted programmes...and clean the registry by registry cleaner.... clean your c drive or the drive in which OS is loaded by system tool...disc cleanup (in accessories)

2. increase your RAM if you still want to use all the programmes you have loaded.

3. Use a cd rom cleaner disc to see it the rom stars reading...or else you will have to replace the CD Rom
