My samsung r60 plus has a red cross beside my speaker in the bottom right hand corner. When i put the cursor over it it tells me no audio output device is installed.

You most likely have no drivers or corrupted drivers installed for your sound card. You need to visit the Samsung UK support page that I've linked for you here: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=1402&prd_mdl_cd=NP-R60F002/SUK&prd_mdl_name=NP-R60&srchword=NP-R60F002/SUK

1. Click on Driver.
2. Scroll down and look for the drivers that match your operating system. If you Windows 7, then choose a Windows Vista driver.
3. Click on the Zip icon on the far right in the Sound (Audio) row to download the driver.
4. Open up the downloaded Zip file and extract to a folder on the desktop.
5. Open up the extracted folder and double click Setup to begin driver installation.
6. Wait for driver and software to install and then restart computer if prompted.

Good luck, please post back to this solution if you have any difficulties, and thanks for using FixYa.

Hi I have a NP-N130 net book and I changed winxp to win7 but network controller is missed would you please help me ....thanks a lot

Note: If you have the 64 bit version of Windows 7, then these drivers may not work. Try the drivers anyway, if they don't work please post back here and I will help you find the 64 bit drivers.

Here's the download page for the Samsung NP-N130 netbook drivers: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/NP-N130

Select Driver and then scroll down to the Win 7 drivers. Download LAN Driver and the Wireless LAN Driver(s). Try the Realtek first and if that doesn't work, then try the Atheros driver.

Open the file(s) you downloaded and install the drivers.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa.

What internal hard drive do I buy for samsung R 60 plus

A standard laptop hard drive will work. SATA connection. 2.5" size. I recommend between 250 and 500 gigabytes.

Changing OS

Here is the homepage for your laptop. Since there are not any Windows 7 drivers available, moving to win7 operating system is not a good idea unless you want to try the change (sometimes drivers for xp work under win7). In that case make sure you have a good full system back-up (with Norton Ghost, Acronis e.t.c.) in case you want to come back at Windows Vista premium.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Thanks and regards

When itry to install my laptop samsung r60 plus

I checked the manufacturer's web-site:

http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/download/supportDownMain.do

and did not find an 'R60' model of laptop.

Access that web-site, and enter the correct model-number,
and download the device-driver for your hardware.

Or, if it is a brand-new laptop, take it back to the retail store,
and ask them for assistance -- they took your money, and they should support you.

My samsung np-r60 model notebook wont connect to the internet.

Easiest thing to try first is updating your wireless drivers.

go to Samsung's support page and find the latest version, download and install.

Let me know if you need any more help.
