Question about Curtis Televison & Video

My dvd player says no disc when there is a disc in the player. It says loading first and then the no disc. I have turned off the dvd player and turned it back on to see if it clears it or ejecting the dvd and replace it with another. It doesn't seem to be reading any discs. I just bought it at sears last month. I know there is a one year warranty.

I have a Sansui Model VRDVD4000 and the DVD player keeps saying "load disc" even when the disc is in the player.

few small things to try. Turn off unit, unplug for 5 minutes, plug back in, turn unit on.

There is a product called a cd/dvd lens cleaning disc. Worth the investment to have around.

Some DVD players simply will not read/play home made dvd's, or dvd copies.

I just finished running the cleaning disk and the player runs and says loading but dvd will not play. No picture on the tv?

Some dvd players simply will not play copies of dvd's, or ones made on a computer.

Another thing to try, is to unload/eject any discs, turn off the player, unplug from AC socket for a minute or two.....and then re-plug, and turn it on, load a disc, and see what happens. Hope this helps.

Shows no disk when there is a disk. how do I fix it?

Simply, some DVD players just will not play certain discs. Especially copies of discs. If your having trouble with a movie that is made for release, ya know, one you buy at a store.....then make sure the disc is clean, no scratches, and loaded correctly. Also, maybe buy a disc cleaner disc for cd/dvd players. Lastly, remove any discs, turn off the dvd player, unplug it for a minute, plug it back in, turn on and load a disc. Hope this helps.

The dvd player says it is loading, but then

there are two solutions to that,
firstly open the dvd and check that the disc in side is turning round. if not check the servo control on the card. if it is turning then check the second solution.
secondly, check the senser bulb if its caming on when the disc is turning. this also can be replaced.
thanks finding from fixya.

Player unable to load discs when inserted

I think I found these adjustments! There are two tiny surface-mount potentiometers (could be capacitors also) sitting in the small circuit on laser assembly.

this is exactly response I would like to hear - an expert opinion!

What I did with help of 1mm-wide screwdriver:

1) There were two surface-mount potentiometers marked with C1 and D. I tried first D. Turned it clock- and counterclockwise by about 45 degrees.
2) After each turn I opened and closed tray to force the player read DVD disc.
3) It did not help, "NO DISC", then I tried the same with C1, and again, no luck.
4) Finally, I came back to D and turned it by about 180 degrees in one direction. IT WORKED!!!

Moreover, seem that now player reads content of the DVD discs faster then before. Probably manufacturer did not really adjust it properly and upon the time something has degraded, so it failed eventually.

Getting "HO7" when loading disc

After calling Panasonic, they suggested pressing the reverse skip (<<) button, the pause button and the open/close button all at the same time. The DVD player will then say "initialize." Turn off the player and unplug it for about 1-2 minutes. Plug it back in and turn on the player and load a disc. If the HO7 error code pops back up, you need to take it to a dealership for service. Or, at the price of DVD players these days, just get a new one - which is where I'm going right now.
