I have an officejet 5610. It keeps jarring whilst printing and then says paper jam. It sounds dry and clunky. It has never been serviced since we bought it several years ago. Any tips? We live in Edinburgh UK

Howdy, depending on what you mean by 'several", the unit may simply have reached the end of its service life. The dry clunky sound you describe does match worn carriage behavior. It may well be worth having it professionally serviced, but there are some very good prices at the moment on newer faster quieter models that use less ink. If you have not done so, it doesn't hurt to open the hood and blow the whole thing out well with canned air. It may make some difference. Some of the moving parts can be re-lubricated, but this is a little tricky as it must not get on certain parts. I recommend a pro if you go this way. Farmerbear at FixYa

HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One continuous paper jam,

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

My 5610 all in one series keeps telling me that there is a paper jam. I have checked and there is no paper jammed in the printer. It won't reset. It keeps saying paper jam. Help!

Check to make sure both ink cartridges are installed properly. I don't know why it says "paper jam" when the cartridges aren't properly installed, but it does.

2 small rubber pieces have fallen out. any idea

Those pieces go on the clean station and can easily be replaced. They each fit over a stud where the printhead parks and just press on.When they are missing the ink will dry out on your ink cartridges and the machine won't be able to clean them properly.

Paper jam

I have an HP 5510 All in one, and mine did the same thing. There was a plastic fingerlike thing that had hung up just to the right of the printhead, preventing it from moving. I removed the cartridge and managed to get the part unstuck with a screwdriver.
