tomtom is coming out with software soon to be able to use your g1 as a gps device. theres apps on the market that let you view traffic updates just look up gps on the apps market and find one there. i believe google maps does traffic updates. you should get the docking station for your car it replaces expensive gps devices.
Check out the Terracrosser software, this uses Google maps but allows you to use downloaded maps. Terracrosser works on my S620 although I haven't been able to get my BT GPS unit to function properly with any mapping software. I have tried setting it to COM 6 as previously suggested.
Hye! here's how you can take care of this issue: Dowload google maps from the web (for windows mobile) & install it on your diamond. In order to use GPS on this phone, your internet/gprs connection must be functional; without netwrok connectivity you cant use GPS on this device as it does not have the map interface on its chip (& cant be loaded later too). It just has a light GPS transceiver which in presence of a mapping software (such as google maps) can show your position on the globe & in some countires can also navigate you. After installing google maps, make sure your internet connectivity is on and then work with google maps 'USE GPS' & 'My location' or 'Navigate' functions ... enjoy!

Hi, If you search the web for ipaqrepair, you can buy the connector for just over a tenner, and solder it on yourself (If you´re brave!) or the circuit board is available for about 55 quid.
It looks like they can repair it for you too, if you ask for a price
Many people here have reported issues with the default Windows Mobile 2003 Bluetooth stack (basically, it just doesn't work).
What may be happening in your configuration is that the CF card software is installing another Bluetooth stack (e.g. Widcomm's). This would explain why everything works thereafter.
There a two things you must do.
Update the TT5 software to TT 5.1.
... and then you need to buy the complete maps for TT NAVIGATOR 5. They are priced at 199 Euro but with the voucher you get a 70 Euro discount.
Then it is just installing the new maps and be on your way.
You may need to use the hard reset to make the quick gps connection working. but you will lost all ur program or data, including smart nav or tom tom. if you ready want to use the hard reset, remember to download smart nav or tomtom program. or you will end out no map in your system. good luck
