Reduce the back lighting

Also try reducing the diameter of the substage condenser iris. The adjustment lever is right under the stage. It moves left and right. When you reduce the diameter of the iris, you will also need to turn up the illumination. The combination of these two adjustments will help you get the contrast that you are looking for in your image.

Aaliyah's eyes focused intently on the hands of her leather banded watch, willing them to move. (Why does she want them to move?).
-equally pale pink- thus far it is the first reference to pale pink so it is not equal to anything pink or pale.
Introduce her eye color in a more likely manner, and maybe have something else distract her, other than her scarf, which may distract her, but not the reader

Background of the complete surface of the white sheet exits with a pale Magenta coverage, also the Xerox testpage.

It's the magenta drum that's causing the problem so you'll have to replace the imaging unit. But first try removing the imaging unit and cleaning the laser windows and the metal contacts.

Polaroid 690 SLR-The switch between manual focus and auto focus, does not appear to operate normally. Maybe I do not know how to use it, however I cannot manual focus. Are you familiar with this camera and...

Not sure if this will help, but according to the manual, to use manual focus, push the button down until the red portion is visible, and turn the manual focus control dial until the image appears in focus in the viewfinder. Then, take the photo as normal. To return to autofocus, just return the switch to its normal position.

I have a BenQ W500 with some dark spots in the image. As far as I can tell, the lenses are clean, and I took out the lamp unit to make sure there was no dust or smudging. How can I get rid of the spots?...

if you can focus the lens on them, they're on the optics somewhere. if you cannot, you may need to replace the fly-eye (diffuser) lens. they tend to fry due to excessive dust and heat.

What is the focal length of your lens?

In order to work with depth-of-field, two things are essentially contributors to fully focused image without depth, 1) it depends on your lens focal length 18-70mm or 70-200mm, 2) your f-stop. 2.8 (large iris) or 30 (small iris).

Simply put, a smaller iris (>15 fstop) increases the DOF, or makes things in front-of and behind the subject more visible/clear. Larger iris (<15 ftop) reduces the DOF, or makes things in front-of and behind the subject less focused/recognizable.

There's quite a lot that goes in to DOF, so check out the link above for the details.
