About Graphics and Video Card Drivers: Graphics and video Card Drivers serve as an interpreter between your Windows operating system and the Graphics and Video Card. In other words, these Drivers allow Windows to communicate with the Graphics and Video Card installed on your computer.
Most of the Graphics and Video Card Driver errors occur when the required Driver is missing, corrupt, or outdated.
Common Graphics and Video Card Driver problems: In case of a Graphics and Video Card Driver related error, your operating system will not be able to access or make best use of the functionality of your graphics or video card.

Below are the four most common Driver error codes and their meaning:

Error 1 - Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)
Meaning - The required driver is configured incorrectly or outdated.
Error 2 - This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
Meaning - The required driver is configured incorrectly or is missing.
Error 3 - The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
Meaning - The required driver is not installed on your computer.
Error 4 - This device cannot start. (Code 10)
Meaning - Usually, this error means that the required driver is outdated.
How do I fix Graphics and Video Card Driver problems?

Roll back to the previously installed Driver

Device Manager, an inbuilt utility in Windows, allows you to troubleshoot common driver-related errors. For instance, you may sometimes start experiencing driver related problems after you have updated it. To resolve the issue, you can roll back to a previously installed driver. To do this in Windows 7/Vista, perform the following steps:
  1. - Open the Control Panel window and double-click Device Manager
  2. - Double-click Display Adapters to view all devices under it
  3. - Double-click the device that is causing the problem
  4. - Click the Driver tab
  5. - Click the Roll Back Driver button and follow the onscreen instructions

Scan your computer using a Driver Update Tool

While Windows does provide an interface through which users can fix driver-related errors, the fact is that all driver-related issues cannot be resolved efficiently via Device Manager. Another fact is that resolving driver issues manually is a tedious affair. Also, you need to be proficient with Windows to carry out such a task.
On the other hand, driver management tools present no such problems. With just a click of the mouse, a driver management program scans your entire computer, identifies all installed hardware devices, and updates drivers for the identified devices

Device cannot start code 10

Hi
The code 10 normally means driver issues related to the hardware device. It could be either outdated or corrupt drivers for the device.
  • Pls go to device manager and check if there is any exclamation mark by the device.
  • Uninstall the driver from the device manager and restart the computer.
  • If there is a specific driver from the device manager, reinstall the driver and that should fix the problem.

Toshiba u 305 display will only show half

It seems that you have an outdated video driver. Try checking if your drivers are fine. Go to Computer - Right click on it. Click on Manage. Go to Device Manager. Look for X mark in the driver's list or question mark.

If you find X and ? then you have some problems with your driver. If I were you, I'd install RadarSync because it will automatically scans all outdated drivers and update them. It would surely get rid of those kinds of problem.

I hope this helps!

My webcam wont work, it keeps saying no cam found ? HELP

Check if the webcam driver is installed. Open Device Manager, if you have Windows XP right click on "My Computer" then click properties on the System Properties window go to hardware then click on the Device Manager button. If you have Vista or Seven, you can type "Device Manager" in the search box in Start Menu. Check if the webcam driver is installed, your webcam should be listed under "Imaging Devices". If you don't see your Webcam here that could mean the the driver is not installed. Refer to the Computer's manufacturer website for the driver download.

Please do not use any third party Driver Detective applications.. They simply generate the message that the Drivers are Outdated. If the Devices and Drivers are working normally, there is no need to update the drivers. Please check the Manufacturers website of your Computer..

USB driver is not working

Hello

Firstly, you should check up when you attach a device to your computer, if there is an error message showing up at the right bottom of the desktop which says "USB Device Not Recognized". If so, you must haven't install the driver of the device properly or the driver is damaged.

Then you will need to download a new one from the website of the manufacturer and install it on your PC. Then the hardware will be recognized by Windows system and be able to work.
If there is no error message "USB Device Not Recognized" showing up, that means your USB driver is damaged or outdated. USB driver is used for detecting USB devices. Without it, Windows system will not be able to detect and recognize any USB hardware. The only way to solve the problem is to install a new USB 2.0 driver for your computer.

No matter which issue it is, the problem always result from outdated or damaged device drivers. To solve and avoid hardware not working problems is to update the drivers regularly. Because all drivers have bugs more or less and lead to a lot of unexpected computer errors. Chipset manufacturers, like NVIDIA, ATI, Intel and so on, update and release new drivers for their products.

So you just need to download and install new ones for your computer.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING FIXYA

Scanned 18 outdated drivers. I have never been happy with this system, bought the extended warrant also. Still covered. I don't think I should have to pay for new drivers. Not when system is still so new.

usually this is a driver update service ythat "finds outdated drivers" and asks you to pay to fix it.  you are paying for the service not the drivers. <br><br> If you have windows service pack two or better installed just click windows key pause buttons at the same time then go to hardware then device manager.  <br><br>im there just right click the device and hit update driver.  This will update most devices to the newest drivers.<br><br> Although the only time yo really need to update drivers is when stuff isnt fucntioning properly.  Ive found updating sometimes causes undo problems.
