The first thing to do is try a different, fully charged, battery - one of things that can cause that flashing LED is if the battery is really flat. If you don't have access to a spare battery, then try plugging in the charger and see if that LED comes on solid - then leave it for an hour or so.
If that doesn't work, the next thing to do is download the Sony Ericsson Update Service client from the SE website and try and do a firmware upgrade - if it says you already have the latest firmware, just select "Update anyway" - this will delete all the content in the phone (but not the memory card), however.
If you can't get SEUS to connect when you plug in the phone holding the "C" key, then try plugging in while holding down "2" and "5" and see if that works.
Sorry to hear that. I would suggest that you try to force the phone to Flash anyway as this will force a full reset of the settings on it. Just plug your phone into your computer whilst holding the "2" and "5" buttons in. If you still have no life try holding the pwr button in whilst you connect it to your computer. If still no luck then it is a work shop job im afraid.

Hi there, i am having problems with my k800i, it is not turning on & everytime i try to do so, there is a series of red flashing lights from the infra red port. Please help.
I'm seeing two scenarios with possibly a third:
1. You turn it off and it doesn't turn on immediately.
2. You turn it off and it takes an usually long time to turn on.
With the 1st one: it's normal for the SE phones to not turn on immediately after its been turned off.
The second sceranio could be firmwear related, in that a firmwear update could solve that problem.
The third, possible, scenario is that it no longer turns on at all, in that it could be completely dead unless you see flashing LED lights in the infra red port, if you do see flashing LED lights. It can be saved
