Question about LG DLE2514 Electric Dryer

1 Answer

I think something got passed the filter into the blower wheel (read some of the other questions and believe this is it; check filter light on and a burning smell was there when I tried to run it). I unplugged it and tried to clean out the front and back. How do I get to the dryer wheel?

Remove the top cover and control panel, then remove the front cover and the door and the blower wheel will be in the left lower corner in front behind the front panel

Brake warning lights

Many repair shops can read the ABS codes also - especially shops that specialize in tires and brakes.

The codes will likely identify if a specific wheel sensor is mis-behaving / failing, or a worst-case situation: the ABS Control Module is failing (expensive).

The sensors, located behind each wheel, can be checked for accumulated road 'gunk' and cleaned. Also look for any frayed/broken sensor wires.

NOTE: The sensor sit about .25" away from a gear-type ring on the backside of the wheel - the 'exciter ring'. It's the teeth passing in front of the sensor that creates the signal sent to the ABS control module.
NOTE: The ABS Control Module reads the speed of each wheel and 'pulses' the level of braking to each wheel according to if it thinks it is skidding on ice/wet surfaces.
Problem with the Anti-Lock Brake System. Take it to a professional and I believe it means the Antilock Brake System is disengaged. Means a code has been stored in the abs computer. Standard obd tester cannot check these codes. Take to dealer service shop.

Almost constant rattling noise - think it is either the pump, or the fan. Is there a fix?

is one of 2 things you may have a piece of paper stocked in the blower assembly or you blower wheel is separating, you can check for any debris inside the blower wheel or check make sure the fins in the blower wheel have some play or you lost a balancing weight on the wheel is very easy to fix by replacing the blower wheel just measured the diameter and whit and go by your nearest WWGrainger and buy a new wheel will cost aprox. $50.00 to $70.00 if you have any questions please replay

Dryer still heats up, but it sounds like the motor is making a high pitch whining noise?

something might be hitting the blower wheel or the wheel could be cracked, remove the bottom panel, take out the lint filter and remove the duct that the filter slides into, start the dryer and check the blower wheel to see if it's that or the motor, clean out the duct and vac out the inside of dryer while you're in there, blow out the vent line,do this once a year and you'll have less problems with dryer and no fires

LG DRYER #DLG2532W IS WORKING BUT IS MAKING A LOUD NOISE,WHAT CAN IT BE?

Something was able to get passed the lint filter and into the blower wheel.

Using a flashlight look down and to the left inside in filter housing spin the drum by hand both ways and see if you can see anything.
If you can remove the object.

Some times you can get the object with tape on the end of say a 18" long dowel rod.

If you cant remove the object you will have to call for service.

unplug dryer, no take off bottom panel, use a screw driver or putty knife to remove, there are to clips on top of cover around 2 inches from edge, you'll feel them with tool, push in on them and clips will release, take out lint filter and take off blower wheel duct.clean out lint from duct, now on top of the blower wheel housing you'll see the thermal fuse, part number 3390719,take off one of the wires and read it out with meter,if it's bad change it out,if it's good, pull a wire off of heater and check that and read out the t-stats if you want but i would just change out the part that is bad.also vac out the dryer and go outside and make sure air is blowing flapper open, iblow the vent line out with a leaf blower if it's a long run,you won't believe all the stuff that blows out of there, hope this helps you

My duet dryer makes a loud noise when i push statr and doesnt turn...

What does the noise sound like? Is it a humming noise? Might be your motor. before we assume that, Take the bottom panel off and the blower wheel housing should be there. Take off the srcrews that hold it in and make sure there is nothing in there blocking it from turning. follow the filter chute down. The part you put the screen into. make sure nothing fell in there and is blocking the blower wheel from turning because the motor shaft is screwed into the back of the blower wheel. The motor is what spinns the blower wheel and if something is blocking the blower wheel then the motor wont operate and your drum wont spin. try checking tha out.
