I have an HP1110n....It acts like it is booting up, but I only see my screen background pic. No icons show up. The disk spins and is doing something, but it won't display ANY icons ! Help !

This happens when Explorer (the file manager - the program that makes all the files visible on the screen) doesn't starts at boot. Press Alt + Ctrl + Del to open Task Manager. Click File, click Run and type explorer. Click OK and the icons and the taskbar will appear. If it doesn't start or it's faulty in any way you will have to reinstall Windows.

Icom of facebook on window page

It sounds like you want to create a shortcut on your desktop that goes right to facebook.

If you're using a Windows computer (XP or Vista or Windows7), simply right click anywhere there's an empty space on your desktop.

Choose New, and from the menu that pops up next to "New," choose "Shortcut."

Where it says "Type a location of the item:" type
    http://www.facebook.com

    Click Next.

Where it says "Type a name for this shortcut:" type any name you'd like to give it. "Facebook" is fine.

    Click Finish.

Now when you double click the icon on your desktop, it will open your web browser and go right to facebook.

Hope this helps! If so, please leave a rating!!
