Fedora not working gui mode

The  x-server doesn't start. Try to start it thru command mode using the startx command. The cause for this is usually a bad xorg.conf file - the file that holds the configuration of the x-server. Just delete it thru command and a new one will be generated.

A friend had this problem. She is using TCP/IP with no problem. AppleTalk should still work with older machines. I have no idea if you can leave both connected at the same time. You will have to try and see for yourself.
