The capacity of the messages is full but there is a lot of storage space.i cannot send any messages.what should i do??my cell is a W388

Hi,
In Motorola, you have to change the storage as memory card in the settings. A part of the phone memory will be allocated for SMS, and when it reaches that limit, you will get message that your memory is full. So first go to the settings and change the sms storage to the memory card.

Cheers, The K.

My home screen shows a flashing envelope icon even though my sim contacts memory is nowhere near full

This icon indicates that the SIM card's own text message storage is full. This doesn't actually cause problems on the 5800 because it stores its messages in the phone's own memory, but the envelope can look a bit annoying.
To get rid of the flashing envelope:

1. On the standby screen press the white menu button.

2. Select "Messaging"

3. Select "Options"

4. Select "SIM Messages"

5. Delete some or all of the messages from the SIM messages folder using the Options menu.
