Try link: http://blog.parts-people.com/2014/06/27/dell-inspiron-m501r-m5010-beep-codes-diagnostic-indicators-2/ How to identify beep codes: When a laptop or computer first powers on, it goes through an initial set of diagnostic tests to make sure vital components are preforming correctly. These tests are called POST or Power On Self Test. When a test fails, the user is notified via POST codes, Light codes, or Beep codes. For diagnosing Beep codes you need to:
  • Power on the laptop or restart it if it is already on.
  • Listen to the number of consecutive beeps when the computer begins to boot. Restarting the laptop may be necessary and should not harm the laptop at this time.

Satellite x205-sli1 will not boot black screen error beep 1long 2 short please help. Powers up good and reseated ram nothing.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing the beep code. It means that its a problem with the Video Card and Video Cards are usually buit-in to the Motherboard for laptops. The only way to fix it to replace the Motherboard in order to get the new Video Card. Hope I've helped you somehow.

I have no screen on my acer aspire 9300 it powers up and then I get three beeps the first longer than the second two and then just a blank screen?? Please help

Hello,
When you hear some beeps before a computer boot it means that it didn't pass the POST (Power On Self Test) phase. Taking note of the sequence of the beeps and checking the manual should tell you the reason, for example bad memory, no HD found, bad processor, etc....

Looking at your model manual here below the codes are not indicated but Acer ask to call their tech support (see page 43)

http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/manuals/acer/0000/userguides/AS%209300_7000%20User%20Manual.pdf

Anyway the 1 beep long and 2 short means 1 long, 2 indicate a video error and the Bios cannot initialize the video screen to display additional information.

You may have to replace the video card.

regards

Vaio fx705 Boot failure

Usually 1 long and 2 short is a problem with the video card and/or video memory. Assuming it is not onboard video, replacing the video card should fix the problem.
