Where is the polygon motor for a sharp ar 235 located

The laser polygon motor is located direrctly under the scanner unit. To get to it you have to take the control panel off and you have to take the cover off where the paper exit on to. It's a bit tricky to get to, but is right under the cover. You will need some short or angled screw drivers. I use a right angle tool from Makita.... It is a usefull tool. If you have a finisher on the copier, you will need to take it off & remove the bridge attached to the under side of the scaner. There maybe another **** problem with getting the cover off the laser unit > It may have secruity torn screws in it?? The laser unit will have four screws that hold it in place..... Good Luck....

We fixed this by taking the finishing unit (tower to the left) and leaning against it so it had better contact with the rest the copier
