I have always found Spybot: Search and Destroy the best to resolve these issues.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How to remove win32/mebroot?

Hi there,
Well this Win32/mebroot is a trojan and you need a trojan killer to remove this. you can remove this by two ways -
1. Online - means when your computer runs the operating system and you can install the trojan killer and search for the trojan.
2. Offline - in this you don't need to start the operating system of your computer, you just need the offline CD of a trojan killer that starts automitally before windows start and then you just make a search for the trojan.
Please follow the below link to get your trojan killer -

How to delete a trojan virus

hello,
Try updating your antvirus software and then restart your system in safemode. Then scan your full scan your system in safe mode. That will help you in deleting any kind of virus affected in your system. Try ESET NOD 32 Antivirus its more effective than avira.

Mcafee-gw detects heuristic.behaveslike.win32.backdoor.k in explorer.exe. is this a false-positive?

This file shows up as part of the zapchast backdoor trojan, and is a valid signature. If McAfee cannot remove, you can attempt to remove manually be following the instructions below:

1. Delete the following files:
baracudanew[1].exe
spywaredetect[1].exe
2. Open the registry and search for zapchast. Delete any instances you find.

3. Click Start>>Run and type in regsvr32 /u MsMsgSrv.DLL

4. Click Start>>Run and type in regsvr32 /u sys_gh.dll

5. Recheck the registry and search for zapchast again. If you find any instances, you may need to reformat the PC.

My computer has an email worm and am unsure about fixing it.

What this will do is reset your computer back to factory defaults like you had just got it out of the box. This would fix the problem for sure. Of course you could also go here as well and download the win32.brontok removal tool. http://www.bitdefender.com/VIRUS-157247-en--Win32.Brontok.A@mm.html This program will remove any instance of the worm on your computer and get rid of it. This way you won't have to restore your computer back to factory defaults.
