I constantly get blue screen

i suggest that you should try to examine your RAM....90-99% of the blue screen problems deals with RAM....Install utility software for system clean up coz there might be spywares residing on your system...spybot or malwarebytes are my best choice.....hope this could help.....

Known ram issue

With the aspire 5100 series there is a known issue with ram that causes all sorts of glitches, freezing and reboot. Upon a ram test, the ram will say errors accross the board and replacing the ram will yield the same result. The fix is to update the bios firmware and it will resolve the ram issue. Go to acer's website and click on support and drivers, type in your model number and get the latest bios update..follow the bios update instructions on the site.

Blue screen

Hi, you have two options.
1. use the recovery disc to reinstall. This will erase all the data.
2. try BootSuite, burn a boot CD to enter your black screen windows and rescue data first of all and fix the error yourself.

It is your choice. Best regards.

When i turn on the computer it goes to a blue screen

If you have upgraded the RAM recently, try removing the new RAM, replace with the old, and see if it will boot up.

Need SATA HDD password for acer aspire 5100

When everything gets done loading the screen says:

Unknown Disc
<There is no disk in this drive.>

it gives that error message 4 times on the "select partition" list

Reguardless of what i click (besides Quit) being Install or Delete, I get the Blue Screen of Death

"PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
Technical Information
STOP: 0x00000050
setupdd.sys Address F77F8245 base ar F77CA000

I did some research and I came up with possible RAM faultyness, so, I switched the RAM chips from my Acer to the AW (which obviously work, or else i wouldnt be typing this) and i get the identical blue screen error

What bugs me about that specific error is before it even says "Click button to boot from CD" it says RAM cleared... video shadowed etc. etc.

From beginning to end this is what i did:
1. Swapped out new HD
2. Used Utility disc to set-up HD
3. Attempted to install XP
4. swapped RAM chips
5. Attempted again

im at a complete stump to what to do to fix this... any help would be GREATLY appreciated

How to repair and remove blue screen in Acer Aspire M5641

The resolution depends on *why* you're getting the blue screen. Start by disconnecting all of the drives, USB devices, and other peripherals. Connect just the monitor, power up, and see if it blue screens. If that works, next add just one RAM module and see if it blue screens. Then, add just the main hard drive and see if it blue screens. Keep adding one device at a time until you find the one that's causing the blue screen error. Once you've identified the bad part, get back to us, and we can discuss diagnosing or replacing it.

Blue screen error

check the ram memory ...and after remove and put it back in ...with care ...remove the bios battery to restore optimal defaults ...also try to format ntfs quick ..cause if the hard drive has some issues it will block during the normal installing ..but ussualy those 00000000 on blue screen are from ram memory issues...
