What are you re-sawing with? Maybe the Blade isn't big enough, maybe the tension is off, maybe the feedrate is too fast...maybe maybe maybe anything. Need more infor to help properly.
How aged is the oak? How many HP is the bandsaw motor? How many teeth per inch on the blade, What is its thickness? Is it sharp? Blah blah

If you are talking about US Coins

What is Quarter-Sawn Lumber?

Quarter-sawing is a method of milling trees into lumber. Quarter-sawn lumber is highly sought after, particularly in certain species such as oak or maple, where look of the grain in the wood is accentuated by the method of cutting the tree. While rip-sawing is the most efficient (and common) method of milling, quarter-sawing is more difficult to cut but yields much more stable lumber. Because it is more difficult to cut and there is more waste, quarter-sawn lumber is considerably more expensive than rip-sawn material.

The chain needs sharpened or replaced. You can purchase the tools from any hardware store, and sharpen the chain yourself in about 15 minutes. Don't worry, your saw is just fine!

Blade will not stay on cutting mark, even a straight line. My blade looks like a quarter inch on a nine inch band saw.

clean dust off the wheels, center the blade get it tracking and tension it so it has a medium high to (wide blade) high pitch (narrow blade) twang like a guitar sting when plucked with the saw turned off

Is the Clarke CT4022 capable of cutting 3/4" oak. If so, is a special bit required.

Hello. Yes the spiral cut-out saw can handle 3/4" oak. Clarke also states that it is compatable with Rotozip bits. I would suggest one of the more aggressive profile sabrecut bits.

Thank you and don't forget to rate us.

Wood feels like its "pinching" between blad and fence

Possibly the problem is the wood itself. If it is burning both sides of the kerf then it is probably that your kiln dried wood is picking up moisture on the outside from the environment which causes it to bow inwards as it passes the saw. I have even had this problem with plywood. Just keeping timber in an unheated workshop for a while can cause the problem but after a few months it should equalize and the problem disappear at about 15% moisture content. (kiln dried timber should be nearer 10%)
Cut part way along a plank and then mesure the kerf at the end of the plank and at the front of the cut. if it is significantly narrower at the plank end then that is your problem.
These hard woods you mention are always a problem to cut on domestic saws at usually a maximum of 2000 watts . I use a 4500 watt motor in my saw and it will still complain at dry oak, ash and maple etc. especially if they are moving a bit as I cut them. Before I retired I had a panel saw half as powerful again as that and still those hard woods could cause trouble.

I have a husqvarna 350 chainsaw, it wont cut straight throuh a log without cutting at an angle and getting jamed. what is the problem , any sharpening tips

THE ONLY THING THAT CAUSES A SAW TO CUT ON A CURVE IS THE CHAIN IS SHARPER ON ONE SIDE THEN THE OTHER AND IT PULLS THE SAW CHAIN TO ONE SIDE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SAW, IF YOU USE A FILE TRY A FILE GUIDE THEY WORK GREAT

I am running a six inch blade width horizontal band saw in a sawmilling application, resawing flitches to thinner boards. Average depth of cut about eight inches. What blade life (swage set steel) should I...

This depends on the type of wood you are cutting. Hardwoods , like oak, will dull the blades faster and require a change after about 3 months if used daily 8x7 but you can get a longer cutting time IF the blades are carbide steel. You can add life to the saw teeth by keeping them clean and free of sap buildup too.
Specially when cutting pine.
