I am having trouble saving pics i take with the pc cam, every time i take a pic the pc cam automaticly deletes the old and saves the new one,how do i save and build my photo album with pics i want to take, also i need to know how to move pics to other sites i have like myspace or e-mail to someone else.....my e-mail is email@example.com i will be waiting for your response..........thank you vinnie
You have to create seperate photo albums and folder names. the the camera labels your pictures 1 2 3 and so on. so when those numbers come up again they are overwritten with the new info. so to avoid this...create one folder.(main)... then open that folder and create a new (sub)folders within the main folder for every download hopefully 10 or so more pictures at a time per sub folder....name the sub filders according to the content or, the current date which they were downloaded. what works well with myspace is photobucket.com your personal picture storage online for free. but til then the simple way is to keep this main folder in my pictures...most sites assume your pics are already there. it is the default directory with your msp,s(myspace pik's) ready to upload.

This is how I download pictures from the Internet and edit them for use in other programs etc.
First create a "Temp Pic" file in My Documents.
Now go to the pictures you want to download.
Viewing to picture right click on it and select "Save Image As"
Now a download window will appear - locate your "Temp Pic" file location and hit "Save".
To process pictures go to www.download.com and search "Fastone Image Viewer" (FREE).
Install the picture software on your computer. This is a Fulll feature picture processing tool.
Now go to your saved pictures in "Temp Pics". Select THUMBS view.
Double click on the picture you want and it will appear in the FSViewer program. (If FSViewer does not open, click on its Icon and and use the file search on the left side to locate the pictures Temp Pic file.) There are many Preferences as to how you want the program to view pictures.
In FSViewer, double click on an image two view it in normal size. In Preferences you can set it to open all pics in Full Screen. ESC will always take you back.
For using the pics in a web page you can Resize the pictures to meet the requirements of the web page. You can also Crop images to highlight the main subject. The first time you crop or alter an image it will save it back to the file automatically with a new name to preserve the original pic. If you make multiple changes to a pic it will ask if you want to replace the original - say no and ad a letter or number to the suggested file name and then save it.
FSViewer will also download and save pictures from digital cameras as well as offer to delete the original camera files. FSViewer does create it own storage file. You must creat a file folder (like Temp pic to store you pictures) You can also store the pics in MY PICTURES, but create a sub folder for the pics.
Practice with a copy of a picture first to get the feel of the software...
Yes you can, and I do it all the time. I copy the pictures to "My Pictures" folder. If you OPEN the DCIM folder by clicking on it, then SELECT ALL, then choose copy. Now close your camera folder. and OPEN "My Pictures" and then choose PASTE, all your pics should be inserted into "MY PICTURES". The reason your pics are deleted even after you've renamed them is because your OS is only copying them as shortcuts. If you don't want to copy or paste, next time you try to save one of your pics, hold down the shift key while dragging your pic to your folder and it won't move it as a shortcut. Hope this helps.
1. Load the software which came with the camera.
2. Run the software.
3. Plug in the camera to either the USB port or other inputs recommended by the camera maker.
4. After connecting the camera to the laptop- leave the camera power on.
5. Restart your Laptop.
6. Your laptop will identify that there is a NEW DRIVE ( which is actually the camera)
7. Open up the new drive ( Letter D or E or F) and explore.
8. Open up each picture file from the camera and save them to your hard disk.
9. Later you can switch off the camera and play around with your pics which are now in the hard disk of your laptop. You can edit and crop your pics now. You can even delete unwanted pics.
10. You may want to delte the files on your camera to enable more pics to be taken. To do that you can either delete pics from the camera itself or load up the cam. to your laptop and delete from your pc.
I've had similar problems with other cameras. The problem is not the camera, however, it is the sim card. If you remove the sim card and place it in the card reader on the computer, the contacts on the card eventually wear out. What it sounds like is that your new pics were not saved to the card due to poor contact. If this is the case, unfortunately, nothing is recoverable as nothing was saved. A possible short term fix is to remove the sim card and scrub the contacts with a pencil eraser. A long term solution is to get a new sim card and leave it in the camera and transfer pics using a USB connection from the camera to your computer. I hope this helps.
Copy the existing photos on to your PC, switch off the camera. Remove the SD card and format the SD-card using a SD-card reader, this will clear all the card contents. Now try using it in your Camera again. Ideally, you should be able to save photos on this SD card. Other way would be to insert another SD card into your camera and click photos and check whether those photos are being saved into the SD card(this can be done using display option in your digicam.)
