Question about Heating & Cooling
Click on the following link to obtain a manual for your Noma Baseboard Heater. http://www.qualitycraft.com/files/QBD-500%201000%201500%20Baseboard%20IM.pdf The wiring instructions are in the manual. The wires at the ends are not supposed to touch each other. You can use either side to connect the power supply to the heater.
On the Thermostat, I believe the Heater uses a thermostat that runs on 220v, your regular thermostat runs on 24v, that's why the thermostat burns. To make your thermostat work you would need to get a single throw contactor with a 24v coil, a 220v to 24v reducing transformer, etc. I think you better off getting the thermostat form the Noma guys.
