If you contact Janome HQ in your country, they should be able to tell you which dealer is closest to you, and the part number of the ruffler foot to suit the MC 9000......

....the technicians and questioners on this site come from all over the planet, so the where to go will depend on where you are !!

You can always use a snap-on foot but you will also need the snap-on shank adapter for your Janome machine:

Mc8000, is it a high shank or low

All Janome embroidery machines are HIGH SHANK, it allows for the hoop to slide under the presser bar etc.

I have "lost" the basic sewing foot for my machine, can you please tell me what letter is on it and how it will be described on a parts replacement website

If it's a Janome 9000, the basic foot is an A. Beyond that, I don't know how it would be described, other than a long shank A foot.

Does this machine have a low shank --- or high shank?

High Shank Machines are all the Janome Embroidery models MC 8000, MC 9000, 10000, 10001, 11000, 200E, 300E, 350E....etc
If yours is not an embroidery machine, it has a LOW SHANK .....the higher shank allows for easier access for the embroidery hoop

I need to replace the metal bar that snaps onto the presser foot.

If you go to the Janome website of your home country they will have a dealer locator page where you can find your nearest dealer.
Explain the problem and they will be able to order the replacement part for you.
You may find that parts availability at this time of year will be restricted as many businesses and suppliers close for several weeks.

Janome 1001

Could you just give a little more detail about what you are looking to do here, is it for changing the sewing foot you need the detail, or is it another shank you mean ?

Is there an accessory or part number you have seen, or need advice on ?

Post back, and we'll see what we can do for you.
