Eurovox wiring diagram

The black stripes are typically the negative wires for each speaker. So your blue will go to one positive speaker output from the receiver, and the blue/black to the speakers negative.

If you want to check them manually, so that you know which speaker should connect to which wire, use the front to back fader, and left to right fader on the kenwood.

Remove the keys from the ignition, and ensure the radio is off.

Tape up all eight speaker wires coming out of the headunit with electrical tape to nothing at all.

Remove the tape from one pair of corresponding colors, and connect it to any single pair of wires that run to the speakers. Tape them separately with electrical tape.

Turn it back on, and set the fader all the way to the front and left. Listen to what speaker it's coming out of. You now know two things. Which color from the deck is the front left, and which speaker wires in the dash goto the speaker making sound.

Turn everything off, and rinse and repeat.

Even easier is to go to a sound shop where they sell harness, or buy one online. Then you just connect per the instructions and you're done. Don't forget to make good strong connections, and tape up everything well.

Good luck.

Jam wireless speaker will not work

That is more than likely faulty wiring, or something is lose, if it is faulty wiring the only thing I can say is Take out the speaker and trash the rest of it, if something is lose then find the wire that's lose and re - solder it. If it is a lose wire it is more than likely the power wire, cause when power is being sent it is being sent such a fast speed that it will jump to (wire B) before stopping at the end of (wire A)! I hope this was helpful!

Hook up radio to jeep cherokee

buy a 12 volt lamp tester (like a screw driver)check the wires when car ignition switch is turned on ,connect the wire side of tester to metal ground of ur car which supposed to be negative and other side of tested pin to the wires jack of ur car which is for radio connection previously, find out 2 connection points which are positive terminals one lights when igni switch is turned on the other one is permanent power terminal.now there are three wires of ur new radio one is black which should be connected to ground or metal body of ur car negative terminla and yellow connected to permanet power terminal and red one should be connected to power turned on with the swith which is called switched power
.now try to find out other four groups of terminal two for front speaker two for rear speaker each speaker has two wires ,can find out the connections by connecting a dry battery cell to the wires to identify which wires of speakers sound when battery is connected ,front pair of wires is for front left grey pair is for right front green pair of wires of ur new stereo is for left rear speaker and purple or blue pair is for right rear speaker
.these colors are globally known .the wires of speakers must not mixed with each other
black is for ground negative red is witched power and yellow for permanent power.
donot use long screws to fit ur new radio .Best of luck

My radio will play perfectly on turner but when inserting dvd/cd the radio only plays sound from the four internal speaker and not from the sub

try using your blue/white wire instead of the blue wire to turn your amp on. The blue wire is power antenna remote turn on and shuts off when leaving tuner mode. The blue/white wire is amplifier remote turn on.

you need a volt meter and 9v battery. earth black contact from meter & then
  1. with ign off probe wire to find a live , thats the memory feed goes to yellow on radio
  2. with ign on probe wires that the constent live goes to red on radio
  3. when lights on probe wires thats the illumination feed (if fitted to car, but not used on many new radios
  4. then get 9v battery and with remaining wires pair and connect to battery, when speaker buzz's mark pair as they are ( ie front right rear left etc ) the speaker wires from the new radio are paired by colour ( one with black stripe with is the negative of the pair)
  5. there should be a ground/earth which if you cant find just hook one to the body/chassis

It sounds like they messed up your installation. You can confirm their work by verifying that each wire was attached properly.

Click on this link for a PDF of the installation instructions of the radio (If you don't have the installation guide that came with the radio).

Illumination is the grey wire from the car to the orange with white stripe from the radio.

I suspect that the yellow wire from the car is not connected properly. When the orange wire (constant power from the car) is attached, but not the yellow wire you can insert and eject cds, but it will not turn on. Constant power is used for maintaining the clock and preset radio stations.

If everything looks correct, I would take your car back to the installer and have them correct the issue.

MEX-BT5700U, no sound in speakers in CD source, tuner source OK.

What many people do on this model is connect the remotes wires improperly. Use the solid blue wire for the amp and the blue with white stripe for the connection to the car.

Installed an aftermarket stereo on my 2002 ford explorer but cant get any audio even thoudg it does turn on. i was told it might be because of the manufacturers amplifier.

If the car has a factory amp it would have been powered from the old factory radio with a remote feed, hence if you can identify this then you can use the bule power feed coming from the jvc harness, if not with keys out the speaker wires should be in coloured pairs, disconect radio and use a 9v battery on each pair of speaker wires if no noise from the speaker then they are connected to an amp, u should be able to find an audio harness that will allow it to work, or just run new leads to the speakers.

Help with install on clarion vrx935vd

I love Clarion
1st RED is + direct to battery
Yellow is + pwr to ignition so when you turn the car off the radio can still say on if you choose
black is - and ground
these are importantant first. once you have pwr you can easily work out which of the 8 other wires are pairs 2 frnt spkrs and 2 back speakers if theres 2 extra plugs for the amp or woofer(if screws run a nice thick speaker wire. But with Clarion I dont beleive you need an amp or woofer thats how good they are just have kickass speakers frnt an back
you should be able 2 find the pwr cables from the existin radio if not the yellow wire leads to the igniton and you can run a red wire staight to the battery and screw the black wire to the metal chasis(oh the blue wire is for a pwr antenna or aux and is not needed unless youve got a pwr antenna.
your speaker color code will be like eg.grey and grey with white stripe, will be one pair green another pair ,but the 4 spker pairs are skinner than th pwr cables
Spkrs have a + and - too the difference is you cant blow the spkr by trial and error its just if its wrong it will sound muffled so try both ways then youll know whats best. pwr must be correct make sure red on red and blacks on black then press on then play with your speakers then find the yellow cable that runs to the ignition then to the radio so when you turn the ign the radio comes on and when you turn the motor off you can turn the radio on cos youve also got a direct to battery connection.
Man you are gonna love your sound system
Im happy for you

Kenwood receiver/sub problem

The amp's remote turn-on wire is probably connected to the blue wire coming from the back of the stereo - this is intended for a power antenna, which is why it only works when listening to the radio. Disconnect it from the blue wire and connect it to the blue/white wire coming from the back of the receiver and you should be good to go.
