Re: PROBLEMS PLAYING DVDS
I'd think about upgrading the software driver.. The fact that the player still works with CD's tends to point to a driver problem, maybe corruption.. But there could still be a hardware fault with the actual drive. At least use your motherboard driver disk (shud have been provided when you purchased the pc) or go to the manufacturer's website & download, then install the latest driver.. let us know how you go... Rgds,
Simply clean up the lens slightly with clean pointed cpouon bond qs in triangular shape to wipe away the possible tar dusty substances,if still doesn't work and your DVD is 3-years old above of using...sorry taht is the natural destiny of lens failure!!!!Change with good tested lens one!!!

Maybe its beacuse its not the right type of drive for your notebook. Did you maybe upgrade your program ? That happend to me before. i had to geta friend to help me fix it . Try downloading a dffernt version or getting a new program.
see if it can still boot the cd , put in a windows cd go into the bios and set the cd as boot device in boot order. save and exit with cd in drive you will get a prompt at boot to press any key to boot cd do this and let it run until the next prompt screen then exit . if it never will boot the cd , time to replace drive.
