Question about Toshiba Satellite A65-S1070 Notebook

Open Question

I have a Tosh A65 s1070 laptop. The keyboard will not perform. I have tried the external keyboard connect. It will not work either. I would like to get this notebook back working. I took it to a shop and they charged me 70.00 to check it out. They informed me that I needed a new mother board due to the fact the keyboard controller died? I was told the controller was on the MB. I am willing to try and give it a shot myself. But there are so many different models. Can you tell me whatever you can about this info and perhaps what other MB models if it IS the mb what others will work? Thank you, James

Toshiba Satellite A65-S126 keyboard no longer works

If you have the disk or driver for keyboard then reload it.
If not then use the mouse and click on the Start button, use the mouse's right button on Computer (My Computer). Select Manage. When the Computer Management console appears, Select Device Manager. Expand the Keyboard Section. Right Click on your computer name and select Scan for hardware changes.
If this fails to reload the driver then right click on the keyboard item that says Unknown and select Update Driver Software.

When loading very unpleasant noise than when im typing in the search window /////////////////// this symbol appearer what can it be?

Loud repeating beeps?
Indicative of a stuck key on your keyboard. Try seeing if the keys all "bounce back" after being pressed. If they stick, get a can of compressed air and gently blow it under the keys. If that fails, try with an external keyboard, see if that works, if it does, then you may need to have the laptop dismantled to clean/ replace the keyboard

I've got some purple and yellow vertical lines laptop screen

Yes it is the LCD itself unfortunately... this is a common thing I have seen it many times, it is like a cancer and spreads all over eventually getting worse and worse.

Excessive heatup

Most likely you will need to replace your battery. Adapter seems to work fine since it can charge battery up to 12%, but the battery itself cannot charge more than 12%.

Battery replacement is inevitable.

assuming that you already have a keyboard, all new keyboards have a USB connection which is easliy connected to any USB slot, if you have a old keyboard that has a round looking connection then you can buy a keyboard USB adapter.
