Hi,
The most common reason for the fridge to throw the breaker would be because the compressor is shorted. The only way to tell that for sure is to actually OHM out the compressor windings to ground and make sure that it is shorted...
if that is not the case then there is probably a bad wire that is rubbed through and that could be anywhere in the whole unit...
Most likely though you are looking at replacing the compressor...

    Hi,
Prices vary greatly by areas of the country... but ball park would be 500-700$$$ If the unit is older without many bells and whistles it probably is not worth repairing....you would be spending big$$ with no warranty...
Many brand new units are available for 12-1500.00....
If it were me I would be shopping... :-)

Yeah, you got it....if you do have a rub it would most likely be in the compressor area where there is constant vibration and movement....

Can the motor control board cause the house circuit breaker to trip?

It's unlikely. An internal fuse would blow first, I'm assuming. If you've diagnosed this far you sound capable of continuing. Electricity is dangerous!!! I would remove all things from the board, 1 by 1 plug each component into board until the breaker trips. That should pinpoint what is tripping breaker. I would assume a motor.

AMD 121 won't shut off, or change cycles. Continuously "hums".

Did you try just unplugging from the wall outlet, and let sit for 15 seconds and plugging back in. Sort of like a re-boot on the computer? Just a suggestion.

I have a Kenmore electric dryer that suddenly went ''poof'' (like when a light bulb that goes out). It threw the breaker. I reset the breaker and the dryer started. I thought that was all there was to it,...

Q - My electric dryer runs but will not heat, what could stop my dryer from heating?
A - Things that could stop a electric dryer from heating:
- house fuse or breaker ( needs two of them ), heating element, burnt wire, thermostat(s), thermal fuse ( not all models ), motor heat switch, timer, selector switch, burnt power cord/plug.
A ohm meter test for these parts is here.

Have a magic chef oven, f1 display after self cleaning, stove top works fine, any thoughts

F-1 is a fault code.

Disconnect the power plug or turn range power off at circuit breaker. Wait a couple of minutes, then plug the range in or flip the range circuit breaker to ON.

Oven control beeps & displays any F  code error (for example
F11) - Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Press
CLEAR/OFF to clear the display & stop beeping. Reprogram
oven. If fault recurs, record fault number. Press CLEAR/OFF
contact an authorized service agent.
