Question about LG 42LP1D 42 in. LCD HDTV
Check the audio "out" settings on the TV
Modern LCD TVs, unlike older televisions, have additional settings for audio out, which could effect the volume being sent out the AV out jacks ... and sometimes a setting for sending the audio through the HDMI cable, which it sounds like you are not using ... so you don't want that enabled ...
If you can disable the volume control on the TV through the TV's settings that would be best.
It's also possible you have a bad cable, but if it works with another TV probably not that ...
