At first the picture is ok, and then distorted with horizontal lines i thinks. If the horzontal lines are parellel acros the screen, with an inch apart across the whole screen, your tv needs screen adjustments. Screen voltage may be high. look into the crt base also. Change it first. These also not resolve the problem, LOT may be faulty, with respect to screen focus pack. May need replacement. Try first setting screen voltage to a lower settings and observe.

CRT base can be located on crt board, pluged into the back side of the neck of the picture tube. CRT base means Cathode Ray Tube [Picture tube] base. The plugin socket that gets into connect the picture tube, is soldered to a printed cricuit board which can be located on the picture tube base board. The contacts of connection may be poor along with time. Things that the matter is clear.

CRT base means the socket the pluged into the base of Cathode Ray Tume [Picture Tube] which can be located on the picture tube base card atteched to the base of the picture tube. This socket is soldered directly to the bace card. It can be desodered and taken out after pluging out the base card from the base of the picture tube. Usually this one is called picture tube base for ease.

As you located the fault point, there may be some loose soldering somewhere it it cauaing power supply regulation section cannot control the output voltage to the main board. Now we are clear that the fault is due to a loose soldering. ok. But you shoud make the board uside down to make any solerings on it. Try it by any way. If you lift and place something under it to make it on that position, sometimes the tv will work temperorly, but it is not a parmanent solution. You should locate the loose point and must solder it. Try it, you can. Wish you sucess.

Sony KV-32S45 turns on at first, than blinks out, still sound

I would look for intermitent solder connections on the small horizonal driver transformer as well as other HV Componets.(HV Transformer etc.) Also solder up the Vetical output IC. These have been common causes of failures. I would not use the set until these have been checked and soldered. If you don't, a massive failure of the hoizonal circuit and powersupply will occur.
Hope this helps,

Fine interference lines running diagonally across picture.

Hi There,
Sounds like your Horizontal Output Circuit is leaking current causing diagonal lines across the screen. I hope this will help and thank you for using FixYa!

Distorted picture when looking through view finder or lcd screen

the video playback is sampled off the video out and independently processed sorta like a TV signal to project on the lcd screen.
horizontal lines means you lost sync circuit and needs troubleshooting. Hopefully maybe a bad connection with a ribbon cable for the ICs and components are hard to change and jammed tight. I would order a video board.

Green screen with almost horizontal zigzag lines

Is good that you hit it and it reacts, very likely you have loose conections in different places but for the distorted picture you need to check the horizontal driver transformer and flyback after that is corrected you need to check the complete chassis for loose conections.Take your time.Good luck.
