Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a Viewsonic n3250w, not sure when it was manufactured, but it will not turn on unless I press the power button 4 or 5 times. The situation is the same with the remote and the TV power button. Any ideas?

Unplug the TV from the wall outlet. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. Wait five minutes and then re-apply power.

ViewSonic N3250W will not turn on

Do you get a red standby light at all? If not, I'd look first for the standby transformer as being defective. There may also be a fuse right by the AC power cord. Look around inside and update this with your results. Post whether or not there is a standby. We'll need to go step by step on this one.

My Viewsonic N3250w tv I have had for 4 years no longer powers up. If you hit the button it lights up around the switch but then almost immediately powers back down. Does this sound like a power supply...

Power supply module will be the first thing to check, look for bad caps, find out if it has standby 5vdc and other voltages.

Viewsonic N3250w. Power supply went out and I replaced the bad capacitors. TV worked for a week then now when I turn it on, the screen just turns on and off

Check to see if the 24vdc disappear when the screen black out, it is always there then you have problem in the backlight inverter board. Did you replace the caps in the 24vdc supply also? I replace the whole set.

Power. Problem started with extra pushing of "ON" button, then stopped all together. Took apart. All connections to start (power on) are intact. I did not go any further. Is there simple fix? Do I need...

My television (viewsonic n3250w) started turning itself on and off from time to time and then much more frequently. Now the tv will not turn on at all. The light on the front of the tv comes on like normal...

You may ahve either the main logic board problem or the power supply module problem, look at the power supply first since it is easy to do without much tools needed, look at the DC filter caps fopr leaking/bulging tops (notes: cap can look OK but may have high ESR whcih you will need caps meter taht can measure ESR).

Solution - just press Menu, Enter and Power buttons at once.
