Hello. I would like somebody to help me.
I think it might be a virus problem but I am not sure.
When I plug something into my usb the screen turns blue. When I turned on the computer with the something plugged in the usb it goes though but it says unkown device, it does not recognize the usb!
it's driving me crazy.
I also notice something unusual in my computer. When I turn it on I see a scree with something like that : partizan root killer kit... can somebody please help me?

Hello there. Thanks a lot for you help. Well, I have a notebook. The usb that I am trying to use are the ones on the right side of the computer, but I have tried all of them. In fact there is something unusual happening. If I plug the camera, the mouse on the usb it will recognize it but if I plug my flash drive or my ipod then I will have that blue/kind of gray/black screen. That screen only appears after I plug my flash drive or ipod into the usb port and after that I can't do anything. I have to shut down the computer and it's just driving me crazy!!!

I also tried doing this : "Before turning on the computer I plugged the flahs drive. The computer will start normaly but then when I go to sytem, device manager I will have something called "unkown device". I tried to uninstall, install again and it did not work. I do not know what else I could do. Any suggestions?

It's a pain...

THanks so much for your help and patience!

Can you please provide me some information from that Blue screen

(That Blue screen is known as BSOD - Blue Screen Of Death - As on that screen you dont have any OK / Cancel Button and you dont have any other option other that Restarting your system manually when BSOD appears thats why it is known as Blue Screen of Death -
Anyways the important information from that error screen is located in the Second Paragraph + Last paragraph where some Hex codes are written
I want that information
Because most probably this is NOT a virus problem but it is a Hardware problem with your USB port)

    Please provide me some details

    1) Is that blue screen appears ONLY when you connect your USB drive?

    2) How you are comming out of that blue screen? (i mean do have only option to restart or you are trying some other way?)

    3) Which USB ports you are using? (Motherbaord ports or Cabinet ports?)

:- The BIOS is different thing. In other words you can say its an small operating system loaded on to your motherboard directly. So when computer starts ups then first BIOS is get initialised and then it instructs that Hard disk is having User Operating system (Windows XP or else) so please load User Operating system from there and then your computer starts.

This BIOS screen is usually in Blue color only.

But in your case as it is apearing after User Operating system starts then that blue screen does not belong to BIOS.

Thank you for contacting

First unplug the computer from the power source and power it back in.Hope it will work.If that does not get you going then go to device manager and uninstall all of the devices under USB Controllers. Restart the computer and reinstall the USB drivers,Also you can do a System Restore and see if it works.

However you did not mention the problem in detail. So assuming it is an error msg which you are getting while plugging in the usb device.

Please check the bellow link which is the official website of Microsoft, to get an idea related to your issue:-

Hi Saqibnoor_82,

The error that you're encountering when opening your USB device is caused by a virus. The easiest way to correct this error is to scan the device with an updated Anti virus. Here are some steps that you can apply on scanning your USB device.

1. Update the Anti virus that is currently installed on your computer.

2. Connect the USB device to your PC. Open your Anti virus then scan the device.

3. If after you've scanned the device and you're still experiencing the same error, you need to reformat the USB device to completely remove the virus .

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

I put the disc in the drive follow the instructions then when it asks to plug the USB port in a few secounds after it says "inatallation unsuccessfully please help

Hello benlaverick
Do not plug the usb port before finishing full installation of the device .
The best way to get your device running is to delete the software ( if installed , check in Control Panel \ Programs ) , disconnect usb port ,reboot , install software / driver and reconnect usb port .
You should get a confirmation message of successfull installation and the device should run .
Make sure you have installed a compatible driver with your OS .
Best regards

My laptop with windows 7 all of a sudden cannot detect any usb? indication at device manager, usb host controller, there's an unknown device??can u help me what to do?

the Driver of USB Controller is deleted (by a virus or something like that)
and you need to install some drivers.
so put the motherboard driver Disk in your drive and try to update the unknown device in your Device manager
or install complete drivers of the Disk.

the drivers might have been corrupted by something or you might have got a virus run your antivrus program and test then
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then reinstall either the sound drivers or the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver

Keyboard Typing Several Characters

There could be a couple of options here: 1. The keypad is defective in which case you need to replace it. 2. The keys are sticking which will cause this problem and is quit frequently what happens (unless all your keys are doing this in which case it will not be the problem as not all keys stick at the same time unless something has been spilled on the keyboard) 3. You might need to update the drivers for the keypad which you can download from the manufacturer's website. I do not think you have a virus because you would notice other things happening to your operating system or hardware. Since you plugged the usb keyboard in and it worked just fine, I think your keypad needs replaced, which you can order from the manufacturer as well and they are not that expensive. You can try downloading the drivers first and see it that corrects the problem or try removing your laptop face plate and cleaning your keypad, just be careful with the plastic tabs that hold the face plate on and not break them. I am pretty sure your keypad is bad. Please let me know if this helps or you need further assistance.

If you would not mind rating my help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
