Heat you machine and take out the oil, then you can store it in a safe and dry place.Oil pumps and engine can stand as long as you care it.
So if your machine start with some problems try to fix it in a professional way.

Why did oil pressure change from 40 average to 60+ at start down to 30+ at idle, after new engine was put in?

An old engine will normally show a lower oil pressure, which may be due to worn bearing, a worn oil pump or both.

A new engine with good bearings will normally show a higher pressure at revs than at idle, and a higher pressure when cold. Putting a worn oil pump back in a new engine (never a good idea without a thorough checkup on it) will modify this situation.

Just going on the readings I'd say your situation now is quite normal. You may even be able to change to an oil one grade less viscous, say 10W instead of 20W depending on your winter temps.

While stored the oil leaks from the oil tank to the pump ?

Hi Anonymous, this is not uncommon especially with Ironhead Sportsters. Oil seeps pass the check ball/valve in the oil pump and loads up the bottom end. If you have a drain plug in the bottom of your crankcases just remove it and drain the 3 quarts of oil that took up winter residence and move them back into the oil tank where they belong. If not be prepared to have it gush out the engine breather when you fire it up. Best thing to do is drain the oil before you put the bike away for the winter also drain the gas and run the carb out of fuel. Good luck

Honds 5 horse engine on a troy built power washer, need to add pump oil. how do I do this?

There should be a little wondow on the side of the pump body to show you the oil level and a oil filler cap on the top of the pump body . There should also be a drain on the bottom of the water pump this is not the engine its the water pump . It will take 10 -30 or 30 wieght oil check your manual or local dealer for your specific pump oil requirements . But if you use it often change it don't add and do the engine oil tothis is the biggest killer of pumps and engines and pumps nelgeliting oil changes also eighter drain all water from the pump or winterize in freezeing temputers

What weight oil does the honda 5.5 engine require?

Your Honda 5.5 hp engine specifically calls for SAE 5W30 engine oil. Use a good quality oil in the engine, and change it every 50 hours of run time. The pump will take 30weight non-detergent oil.
Using non-detergent oil in the engine will probably void your warranty, and will certainly shorten the life of the engine. Non-detergent oils have not been recommend by engine manufacturers in nearly 20 years.
Oil is cheap, go ahead and spend $4 - 5 on a quart of high quality oil. Your engine uses about 20 ounces per change.

What oil to use in the power washer water pump

Oil used in engine is SAE30, I would suggest adding bit of Nulon or similiar Teflon based before even first run as it will extend life of the engine, This is air cooled Honda and therefore overheat easy.

Oil used in pump is Universal Tractor Transmission Oil.

Except two, all pumps are equiped with sight glass, fill as indicated on sight glass or dipstick.

To extend life of your equipment, change oil in both, engine and pump after 50hrs.

If you live in colder climates, where freezing is possible, do not forget to drain pump and high pressure hose from water to avoid winter damage.

Hope this will help keep your equipment in top notch for years to come:-)

I have a troy built 2450 pressure washer. The engine runs fine but I have no pressure out of the hose. Does the pump require that you put oil in it?

Do you live where it is cold in the winter? And did you winterize the pump this past winter if it is cold? They need to be winterized or pump damage can occur.

Hi! How often the engine oil change is needed on Yamaha XJ600S Diversion 1992

It depends on two things if your bike is used every day and does high speeds ,I would change your oil every 3000 to 4000 ,If your bike is in storage like winter .the engine will get affected by damp and if stored for long periods the oil should be changed before use ,
