Please ensure that you have the router connected via the blue cable directly to your computer's ethernet port. You should be able to interface into your router's config page by typing in 192.168.1.1 in the web browser expolorer bar. Hope this helps, however, please do get back to me should there be anything else. Thanks.

I can't tell which router is mine

To connect to your wireless router, the router's wirelesssettings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also thewireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with theserouter's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicatewith your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down andput it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

Wireless not working

If you can detect the wireless network but you cannot connect to it, check the following:

1. Be sure that you are typing the correct network key (WEP, WPA-PSK).
2. If the wireless is unsecured, but still you can't connect to it, try to change the wireless channel.
3. Try to power cycle the router (disconnect the power cord from the wall socket for 5 minutes, then plug it back in).
4. Reboot the computer and try to turn off / on the WiFi of your laptop.
5. Reconfigure the router's wireless settings.
6. If same problem occur, contact the manufacturer and have them upgrade the firmware of your router.

If you cannot detect the wireless network, try the following:

1. Power cycle the router for 5 minutes.
2. Reboot the computer and try to turn off / on the WiFi of your laptop.
3. Change the angle of the router's antenna.
4. Change the wireless channel.
5. Reconfigure the router's wireless settings.
6. Upgrade the firmware of your router.

If nothing happens, then the router could be defective. Contact the manufacturer for RMA.

Good luck!

Linksysfix doesnt exist how do i set up wireless

First of all you need to connect your router to your PC with a cable. This should then detect your wireless network providing that your wireless connectivity is installed and functioning. You can then configure your wireless setup by accessing your router. To do this type in 192.168.1.1 into your browser and then when prompted for Username & Password use "admin" (without the quotes) for both

The router interface gives you tab browsing, so you can go to the wireless tab and then onto wireless security. In the basic setup make sure that the Auto Detect button is disabled - it improves speed.

HINT - I have found that disabling the Windows Firewall enhances performance as the router has a built-in Firewall.

Hope this helps

I cannot connect to the router. What else can I try?

The wireless router UI can be accessed from a wireless client. From what you have described, you should have been able to enter the UI. First, uncheck "Automatically Detect Setting" thus leaving all boxes in the "Connections" tab unchecked. This will force IE to find a connection without looking for a proxy. If having trouble accessing the UI, try entering in :88 after entering the router's internal IP in the address bar (192.168.2.1:88). This will tell the browser to use port 88. If that does not work, power down the router for 30 seconds and power it back up. Renew the IP adapter setting on the PC (as a precaution) and verify the IP address is 192.168.2.xx. You should be able to access the UI.
