Sounds like you have a defective unit. If it is possible to access the rechargeable battery make sure it is installed correctly. If the product is still under warranty and you find no issue with the battery (corrosion, overuse or just general decay over time) contact the Coby support line for further troubleshooting tips or to set up service. (remember any attempt to fix the product yourself might void the warranty, please read the warranty information before you do anything)
