Another option is to connect to itunes and attempt to restore to a previously saved backup. See --> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
search for "restore from backup".

Put it in restore mode hold the power and home menu button for a little and plug it in to itunes when it shows the connect to itunes pic and then press restore if ur iPhone is unlocked u hv to inlock it again!!!

How did it get into this state? Normally, the iPhone will only disable if the wrong passcode is repeatedly entered. Once it's disabled, the easiest way to clear it down is to connect to the computer it's paired with, which will let you reset the lock.
