Today I posted the same question... how to replace the ice dispenser lever/arm but decided to keep looking for a solution then stumbled upon this manual (http://www.retrevo.com/search/v2/jsp/mytrevo/myTrevo.jsp?page=man) On page 14 you will see that part #23 (the bottom that catches dripping water or ice) slides forward and back. Slide this back and you will see 3 screws at the bottom. Remove those screws then gently push/slide the entire black frame upwards to release it. Hold the faceframe and disconnect the wire that runs to it (you might need long nose pliers for this). At this point, you should be looking at something like whats in the picture I posted. At this point, I decided to unplug the fridge and shut the water flow just as a precaution. Now, there are 3 other screws visible to you (NOT the tiny screws holding the green circuit board)... unscrew those 3. This will allow you to sligthly pull the piece forward and as you do that, you will see a wire connection on the left side. It is a snap-on connection that you can easily remove and reconnect later on... disconnect them. Pull the panel forward so you can look and work on the back side of it. It will be a bit hard to pull forward and I recommend that you not pull too far so as not to break the water hose that runs to the water dispenser. Since you already have the replacement part, try to figure out which one that part is and see how it is held in place. You will notice 2 tiny steel plates, one on each side of the part you are going to replace, held by screws. Remove those plates to release the part. Removing the part and putting in the new one was based on feel so you will have to try to get this done with some jiggling and pushing and pulling :). After you have the replacement part in place, just put everything back the way you found them. And dont forget to reconnect the 2 wire connections you disconnected earlier. Goodluck!

HOT POINT SIDE BY SIDE ICE MAKER IS PRODUCING ICE BUT IT WILL NOT DESPENCE ICE OR WARTER

If you press the botton for ice or water do you hear anything? If not the switches could be out or your fountain assembly may be bad. Check to see if you hear noise. You can even wiggle the arm to see if it activates.

If you need further assistance or have questions please feel free to comment me back.

Ice maker sticks and it stops giving ice.

Does it stick when it is trying to despence the ice from the tray? The bracket the slides the ice out of the tray may be broken. If the bracket is just getting stuck it means that your ice is sticking inside the tray due to the teflon coating being worn out. Replace ice maker

If you need assistance on how to install the icemaker or a place to order one please feel free to contact.

Ice maker control arm has broken and ice machine keeps making ice. How do I stop the icemaker? And, then, how do I fix or replace the control arm (which appears to have snapped at the point that the arm...

Good day,
You will have to remove the ice maker. Usually 2 screws or clips on top and one screw on the bottom, as well as the plug that supplies the electrical power.
Since you'll need a new arm anyway, I would suggest you take the ice maker to any decent sized appliance parts house, and see if they'll pull the the old stub out and install a new control arm.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to replace the whole ice maker.
If you want to see if you can remove the stub yourself, unsnap the front cover. You'll see a semi-solid state type board. It is held in with 3 screws. Remove those, pull the board off, and inspect the area we are talking about. You might be able to get it out, but if not, go back to my first suggestion.

Ice Storage box

I have a Whirlpool Gold fridge model # GS5SHAXN LOO. The problem is this...often I'll hear a noise from fridge and when I investigate, it is always that a piece of ice has gotten stuck in the tray part of freezer and not falling into dispenser. Also, because of this it seems (not positive) that it won't begin the process of making any more ice. Annoying that we can't always have ice when we need it. Any solution to this would be great.
Thanks in advance!
