Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Try this.. reboot your computer and when you see the first logo come up hit f8, this will take you into a black screen and give you a few different options. You will see one that says restore computer to last known good configuration. Select this and hit enter. It will give a list of dates on the next screen, choose the one when you know your computer was working correctly, hit enter and let it complete the process. This will not remove or alter any of your files, it is just "setting your computer back to a previous date. Hope this works for you, which it should. let me know if you have any further issues.
