Where is deforst timer frigidarie model FUS2613LEO

When I run across a problem w/my fridge, I look up the model on this website.(see below) I can then see full diagrams for all the systems of my fridge. I can see where they are and then look them up on the internet. Check out this link, it is for your fridge, I don't see a part referred to as the defrost timer.
When my defrost timer went out, I would hear a clicking/grinding sound from under the front of the fridge. (It sounded like one of those old fashioned timers for your lights when you go on vacation). My fridge would not cool because it was stuck on the off position. This timer just shuts the cooling function off so the defrost heater can warm up the freezer coils just enough to melt any accumulated ice/frost. It does this on a cycle of say, 20 min on cool, 10 min on defrost. My fridge was actually getting warmer inside the freezer, couldn't figure that out...
It turned out my timer was behind the front lower grill(which pops off) and mounted with 2 sheet metal screws right up on the right side of the frame. when I took mine out to check it, it rattled like there was something loose in there(not supposed to sound like that). It just unplugs. Here is a diagram of your fridge, call the parts place to ask where yours is located. I replaced mine and the fridge is up and running again.

Replace deforst timer in ger gsh25jsxb

There is no defrost timer on a GSH25JSXBSS Can you provide an actual freezer temperature? Feel the base of your ice maker to see if possibly the heating element is staying on after dropping the ice into the ice bin and look for the ice maker to see if excess water is flowing into ice bin once it refills. Are other items defrosting in the freezer due to extended defrost? I am here should you need me, Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

Liebherr KD 900 fridge freezer bought 2001. Both the freezer and fridge are losing temperature, as though it is defrosting and then clicks back on and seems to regulate itself again. This has happened...

The defrost timer sticks in defrost mode and then comes out of it. I've been out of the service industry long enough to not be able to tell you on your model where it is located. Defrost timers on frost free refrigerators are a very common problem.

I would tell them to come pick up their hunk of garbage. Having a company tell you that everything is running fine when your refrigerator is full of rotting food is past my point of warranty repair. I would no longer have trust in the fridge or the brand and would ask for a refund or a replacement. How old is this fridge?

The deforst timer didn't work and got ice

Does the timer move? If you can, try rotating the timer to the defrost postion when the frigorator turns off and see if the defrost emement starts to heat up. If it doesn't then you could have a bad thermostate. easy to replace.

Freezer not defrosting

You got the right idea. your fridge have a deforst problem, and it can be cause by a number of items. 1. the timer, 2 the defrost temperature control. 3 the defrost element itself.
Before you use the hair dryer when there is ice forming in the back panel, try to turn the timer and see wheather you can set it to defrost cycle manually if you can then the timer need to be change. the 2 and 3 item is a bit more work for normal people to deal with, you better call in a serviceman and watch him how he handle it so you can try it yourself next time. I have a 7 year old Kenmore Upright Refrigerator/Freezer on top. I am losing the temp in the fridge part only. The back up the freezer gets a thick layer of ice buildup and when i remove the back panel the...

After you taken the back panel off and see a lot of ice forming on the coil before you use your hairdryer you should locate the timer and turn the center of the timer manually into defrost cycle. If you can see or hear the ice melting then your problem is the timer defective. Change the timer and that is all. But if it doesn't do anything then you will need a little bit more on electrical knowledge to deal with the rest on defrost temperature control and the element itself. Hope this help, God Bless.

Fridge less and less cold. both sides. now totally not cold. defrost timer?new fridge

The parts manual on that refrigerator show a defrost timer inside the fresh food compartment behind the control panel. Need you to turn the timer clockwise with a flathead screwdriver slowly until the compressor stops. Leave it alone for 30 minutes and if it does not turn itself back on then we need to replace the timer. If not we need to unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel inside the freezer. We will need to test the defrost heater and inspect the defrost thermostat. Let me know when you are ready. The part number for the timer is 68233-3
