Nothing is working! I need help

Ok I have a 98 Dell and it wont do anything... when i start it up, it gets to the Dell screen and then it goes to a black screen w/ a little flashing bar in the top left corner. It doesnt respond to anything u press on the keybord except to restart it...Before, i tried to delete everything on the c drive using the boot disk... and it gave me troubles... i cant remeber what it said be cause now the boot disk doesnt do anything. And so my dad tried to fix it by putting every floppy disk in and doing watever to see if it worked. And I think its really screwed up now... when I hold CTRL down to open the windows 98 startup menu... it says ERROR 0210:Stuck Key 03DT. press to resume or for setup. when I press esc to resume it goes to that black screen w/ that blinking bar... and doesnt do anything...

how do i get it to even get to the command prompt? or install an operating system(preferably 98)? This is like a mess around w/ computer and i really dont care about it, I just want it working again.
any advice will help. Thanks.. oh and could u like completly explane stuff becaus im only some what computer savy. thanks again.

"Stuck Key" error means just that. When the machine checked itself prior to booting, it found that a key on the keyboard seemed to be jammed. Happily, by causing this you're actually helping the situation. Remember where it says "Press DEL for setup"? Well, that's what you need to do. That will get you into the BIOS. When you first start the machine repeatedly tap the DEL key until you get into the BIOS.

As you don't specify the model number of your machine, I'll need you to let me know the exact model number before I can talk you through the BIOS settings to change, so post that information on this ticket and I'll give you step by step instructions on which BIOS settings to modify to get your system up and running.

Hello,

You haven't received a response from Whisperwolf because our email notification system is down right now.

When you start your system and before your Dell screen shows, Press either the F2 or F10 screen. This should get you a System Bios setup screen. In this screen, see if there is an entry for your Hard drive and CDROM drive.

If you can get that far comment back and I'll check back here until our email system is working again. The fact that your computer is not responding to your CDROM is not a very good sign and your computer may have been starting to fail with the first of errors you received and is now at complete risk.

Regards,
Worldvet

Hi, Back from an out of town trip and our email server is still down. There should be an entry somewhere for your CDROM device. I certain you don't see that so this helps.

Did you check or can you check the bios setup screen again and see if the date and time is correct?

Thanks again for your patience while our email alerts to we Experts is down.

    Regards,
    Worldvet

Screensaver

Vista uses a different technology for screen savers than in the past. The screensavers and backgrounds are active. Older screensaver software (I inferred from your post that you had a favorite that both of you used and not one from MS) will probably not work here.
